The Boca Grande area is world famous for its quality fishing and hosts one of the finest backwater flats in Florida. With a choice of bay fishing, surf and deep sea fishing, almost anything goes. Try your fishing skills on tarpon, snook, redfish, mullet, mackerel, red snapper and grouper. Gasparilla Villa has its own private dock, a newly expanded deck and covered fish cleaning table and lots of freezer space. Leave your fishing gear on the boat.
For the beach comber, there are miles and miles of almost deserted pristine beach with no condos, stores or gift shops. Abundant shells await with swimming and shore birds only a three minute walk away. At sunset, it is an island tradition to always be on the beach with your favorite beverage to watch the dramatic show and to spot the elusive green flash.
Snorkel, kayak, canoe or sail in the waters that surround the island. Rent a golf cart and explore the miles of nature tails and roads. There is even a local captain that will give you and your guests a scenic tour. There are several excellent restaurants available by water taxi or your own boat for some of the finest seafood on the Gulf Coast. Numerous golf courses surround the area on the mainland.
A separate one-room cottage is adjacent to the Villa with space for the kids to play games, watch movies or put together puzzles.
Upon your arrival you will be greeted by your personal island mate who will acquaint you with the Villa and the Island. Your island mate will be available all week to meet your needs.
House Description: Two story, upstairs is main living area. Two bedrooms (king and two twin bed) with living room, dining area and kitchen. Two baths upstairs. Fold out couch in living room. Downstairs is a large screened in porch with sitting/play area and large table that seats 8. Washer/Dryer and bathroom with shower. Immediately adjacent to the house is a one room cottage with fold out couch, TV/VCR/DVD, small refrig, microwave and coffee maker.

Rates are US currency and subject to a 6% state tax, 3% tourist tax and 1% county tax. Effective April 1, 2007 tax will increase to 12%.
Weekend rates $500 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) check for availabilty of other days.
25% reservation deposit required to hold.

Cancellations and Refunds:
Obviously Gasparilla Villa has been taken off the market for your personal stay and other rental opportunities have been lost. Accordingly, if you change your plans, you need to let us know as soon as possible. We will immediately put Gasparilla Villa back on the market and try to rent it for your reserved time slot. If we are successful in obtaining a renter, then you will receive a full refund less a $75.00 cancellation fee. If we are not successful, then you will forfeit your initial deposit up to the rental amount. Any monies paid over and above the rental amount (i.e. the security deposit) will be refunded just as if you had stayed at the Villa. In the unlikely event you need to cancel, we will offer you a special fall discount.
Bay front with private dock, canoe and small john boat on site. Separate fish cleaning house, large screened porch downstairs with sitting area and large table that seats 8. Screened porch upstairs. VCR/DVD movies, puzzles, games, propane smoker, garbage disposal. Golf cart rental on the island.
Canoe and small john boat available for your use. 4 Kayaks available with paddles and life vests.
Water Taxi available for those that do not have a boat.
Nearby fish market, restaurants and grocery store. Next to Don Pedro State Park. The beach is a short 3 minute walk away. Explore miles of narrow roads/nature trails by foot or golf cart.
Broadband internet access, reverse osmosis water system, new propane grill. Excellent bird and butterfly watching, lots of native plants. Binoculars are on site.
An extra large refrigerator with freezer for drinks, overflow food and frozen bait is located downstairs. Bait buckts, two bait seines, life jackets are all available. A 12 foot and 8 foot cast net is available upon request.
A 14foot SunFish sailboat is also available, must be an experienced sailer to use.
