Hanalei Bay Resort 5201 is a one-bedroom studio with microwave, mini-refrigerator, coffee maker, and two double beds. HBR 5201 sleeps 4.
Hanalei Bay Resort 5202 is a deluxe one-bedroom with king bed, full kitchen, dining area for 2, and a spectacular lanai with ocean, mountain, waterfalls and rainbow views.
Hanalei Bay Resort 5201/02 together makes a very spacious condominium that comfortably sleeps 6. The condominium has a tropical décor, green accents, and a full open kitchen. Cable TV with Internet is in the room. Hair dryers, iron and ironing board, and many beach supplies are also included.
Hanalei Bay Resort offers breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Bali Hai Restaurant. The view from the restaurant is one of the best in all Kauai. (Currently being remodeled) Happy Talk Lounge offers nightly entertainment and nightly specials. Only steps away, 8 tennis courts with pro shop, poolside massage, sand bottom hot tub, two swimming pools with waterscapes, or it's just a short stroll to Hanalei Bay and the beach. I stayed at Hanalei Bay Resort in HBR 5201 in Jan 2012 with my wife and 2 daughters. We booked the condo for 4 nights and we stayed at the resort for 3 of the nights as we walked the Kalalau Trail. The condo was excellent and was well positioned in the resort. The resort is very close to the beach and the whole area is beautiful. We came from four nights at the Hyatt in Poipu which was lovely but its manicured beauty has nothing on the natural beauty of the N. Shore as viewed from HBR 5201-2's breathtaking balcony. A condo vacation is perfect for a family--it's much easier, healthier and less expensive to prepare simple meals in the comfort of your own condo than hauling the kids around for overpriced meals. I LOVED waking up to the stunning view from our condo. Rainbows galore, constantly changing cloud formations, waterfalls, lush green mountains and Hanalei Bay, all from the comfort of your lanai. The kids loved the resort pools and taking the golf cart down to the beach below the resort. We walked to our favorite resort perch every night to watch the sunset with homemade cocktails in hand. We loved coming home to this comfortable condo as much as spending our days snorkeling at Tunnels. It was clean, beautiful, and equipped with tons of ‘freebies’ from the owner that made it feel so much more special than just renting some random place to stay. Also, Chuck (the owner) had tons of wonderful advice, tips for activities/places to eat, and had incredible communication with us throughout the whole process (booking, questions, stay, etc.) The resort is absolutely beautiful, and the view from the balcony is simply breathtaking. I’m sort of a travel ‘snob’, so I’ve been disappointed many times about expectations being set too high – but this time, NO WAY! This was probably one of our most favorite condo rentals to date. The condo was just like being at home, with everything we needed, as well as being clean and spacious. My granddaughter looked forward to finding "our house" when we would return in the evenings. Great views! We took so many breathtaking pictures just from the patio alone. We even got to meet the owners, when they came by to replace the dvd player (after a one day notice, Wow)and they even brought a new ipod docking/charging station (hope this is the correct term). Chuck even gave us information about addtional places to visit while on the island. Oh, and the links on the website are great! We had a great time. Not exactly our “honeymoon” but a true celebration. Our 36th wedding anniversary. This was our first trip to Kauai, but God willing, not our last. The condo was perfect and exactly what we wanted and exactly what was advertised. Comfort, convenient, private, and quiet. The view was incredible. The stay here was very satisfying. The condo (KBV G6) is private and clean. The only drawback is that I had to leave so soon. Two weeks is not enough time here. I thank you for sharing this condo with me. It is a great condo. It had everything I needed. The decorating was great. The beach is a wonderful beach. I walked it every day. My family stayed at HBR this past August, in units 5201 & 5202 and we absolutely loved it. First of all, the property is just beautiful. It is like a manicured jungle, with a lagoon like pool with waterfalls and views of the bay from the open air lobby and restaurant. The unit is large, very clean and tastfully decorated. The kitchen is modern and easy to work in. The bedrooms are large and each has a clean and beautiful bathroom and there is a lanai off of each bedroom and the living room with absolutely spectacular views. There are also plenty of pool and beach toys available and three TV's in the unit. Everything was really perfect. There is no reason to stay anyplace else. We certainly would not. Enjoy!! My six year old daughter and I, plus another couple had the pleasure of visiting this nice Island. Chuck made it an ease free vacation. I could not believe how nice he was. Very knowledgeable and just a great guy. We arrived to the beautiful resort at night and didn't get a real look at the property until the next day. 5202 was so conveniant to the pool and the tennis courts it was great. The pool is beautiful, nice walk to the beach, and an easy stroll to the front desk and Happy Talk. One of my daughter's favorite things was sitting on the lanei in the morning and having all the beautiful birds come eat right out of her hand. The view from there was absolutely beautiful and the rainbows were a site to see. I would highly recommend Chuck's place and would rent from him again. We just got home from our vacation in Kauai and already miss it. We enjoyed most our stay on the north side of the island at the Hanalei Bay Resort in unit 5201-5202. The view is magical and really makes you feel like you are in a story book. The proximity of the unit to both the big pool and tennis courts was great. We also walked down the path to the beach. Great snorkeling. It was a very comfortable and convenient place. The booking process was also very smooth.
