Yes!!! Just 30 steps from the condo to the powdery white sandy beach. I am proud to say that the unit is even better than the pictures, lots of upgrades and additions and truly is the best condo in the building. This is a TRUE one bedroom that sleeps four to six comfortably. It is not one of those studios with a small bed niche that others in the building try to pass off as a one bedroom. It has a Deluxe King bed with pillowtop mattress in the bedroom, a full size "top of the line" futon couch which is more comfortable than a bed, 2 single futons and even an extra full size king air mattress with pump and lots of extra linens. There is a Pentium 4 computer in the bedroom with unlimited high speed internet access and wireless signal for your personal laptop. The unit is stocked with quality snorkeling equipment, quality Boogie boards, movie video library and even books. There is a full kitchen with large refrigerator, stove/oven, pots, pans, dishes and silverware, paintings of ocean and ocean life, track lighting in both front and back rooms, acrylic glass set, microwave containers, knife set, comfortable patio set with cushions .....Also deluxe toaster oven w/rotisserie, automatic rice cooker, 2 color TVs, VCR, DVD Player, Panasonic microwave, coffee maker and grinder, Kenmore washer/dryer, remote phone, leather Recliner chair and clock radio/CD player in the bedroom.
You will enjoy visiting because part of the time you have the white sandy beach completely to yourself (Yes it is always safe). If you click this link Yahoo! Maps - Hauula, HI 96717-9676 (Please mention FindVacationRentals.com Listing #1271 when you call) , you will see that the area (Hauula) is on the opposite side of the island from the airport and Waikiki. About 45 minutes to an hour drive. It is not far from the Polynesian Cultural Center (about a 10 min.drive). The city bus line picks up directly in front of the unit. Sunset Beach is about 15 minutes away.
Baywatch Hawaii was filmed about 25 minutes away in Haleiwa and North Shore on FOX was filmed 20 minutes away in the same direction. "Lost" is presently filming in Waialua past Haleiwa. Foodland Supermarket is a major chain in Hawaii and has one ten minutes away. The building is eight stories high. Avoid lengthy elevator waits on your vacation. This unit is the ground floor corner unit, the most preferred location. All visitors have agreed that this unit is the best located one. It is thirty steps to a white secluded sandy beach. The ocean is calm because of a reef 1/4 mile out which blocks the waves. It is perfect for kids to enjoy snorkeling and swimming. The building has amenities like professional Bar-b-que area, workout/weight gym with dry sauna, swimming pool next to your unit and sunning area behind your unit. There is a small convenience store across the street to your left which is connected to a Subway Sandwich Franchise. Your parking stall is included and located right in front of the unit.
Please check with any of my past guests below. None of the other rentals come close to this one in size or location. You are welcome to contact my past guests or the unit directly (808) 293-9000 (Please mention FindVacationRentals.com Listing #1271 when you call) to ask candid questions. The unit extends from one end of the building to the other and measures approximately 850 sq. ft.

Great to have the little convenience store across the road, too! December 28, 2011Reviewer: david bridges From: alpine, utahVery nice place. Everything was as described. Emmanuel, September 10, 2011Reviewer: George Espinosa From: Austin, TexasEmmanuel thanks for all you have done! Your place in Punaluu is fantastic! The little ones enjoyed all the extra beach equipment you provided. The computer and internet were handy when planning and reserving outings. Eateries, shopping, and dining were all within a short drive away. Overall my family was very impressed with Pat's at Punaluu, and when we return this will again be our place of choice! (Vacationed Sept 3-8th, 2011) August 22, 2011Reviewer: Sean and NkaoWe loved our stay at the beach-front condo. The walking distance to the beach as well as the view of the beautiful mountains just across the street were unmatched. The condo is perfectly located far away enough from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu but close enough to major highways that you can get there within 30 minutes if you like. There are so many amazing beaches within a short drive, you simply can't go wrong. Papa Ole's was one of if not the best eatery we visited while on the island. Ted's Bakery has pastries that will take your breath away. This was such an amazing experience. We would definitely recommend it to anyone! Thank you Emmanuel. Our family of five just got back from 10 nights at this condo. It was very nice and had almost everything we needed. Foodland was less than 10 minutes away in Laie. We absolutely loved the beach that was just steps away. We used the boogie boards and snorkeling equipment provided. No crowds ever, and the sand was clean and beautiful. We liked being away from the crowds of Honolulu, but we did venture in for a few activities there including the swap meet at the stadium. February 22, 2011Reviewer: Anonymous From: Brentwood Bay BC

Linda October 11, 2010Reviewer: Sheree From: Fallbrook, CAWell, it's all true. 30 steps from a basically deserted beach! This part of the Island is a great place for a relaxing Hawaiian vacation. You don't think of going to Hawaii for empty beaches, but that's what you get. The place has everything you need. (Maybe bring a few baggies and/or tupperwares for food storage...) Emmanuel has done a great job of stocking this very comfortable Condo. Thanks!! September 15, 2010Reviewer: Anonymous

Stayed at this place for 4 nights and it June 23, 2010Reviewer: Ambie From: Bangor, MaineQuiet, clean, peaceful place in a rural, coastal setting. Hiking trails, breathtaking views, multiple non-hectic sandy gorgeous beaches, great swimmming.....are all right there. If you want the touristy shopping, the crowded beaches, fabulously expensive restaurants and the can-be-fun for a while hubbub...well...you can always drive back into Honolulu. Great vacation. Thanks. May 21, 2010Reviewer: cori cronk From: placerville california
Our family loved the location of the condo. The screened in patio was a plus. The gear saved us money and time. Our family had the most beautiful dinner over looking the beach for our last night. We hope to come back again. April 04, 2010Reviewer: Anonymous

Excellent accommodations, very clean and well equipped. February 25, 2010Reviewer: Mike and Lynn From: Trenton, MichiganSpent 11 days and had a great time. Condo has lots of space, snorkeling equipment and things to do. Love sipping my morning coffee on the screened in porch. Snorkeling in front was great with the reef protecting us from the huge winter surf. Swam with a large sea turtle once, what fun! Don't forget to visit Ted's Bakery while you are there, you won't regret it! February 05, 2010Reviewer: Marilyn From: Carlsbad, CA
My husband and I did a quick, long weekend October 19, 2009Reviewer: Tena and Steven Gibbs From: Springfield, ORLooking for someplace to really kick-back? This is just for you. Perfectly situated on the eastern side of the island, great for exploring all of Oahu and still have a quiet home base to return to. There's big waves and lots of surfing and shopping close by to the North (don't forget the Turtles, FANTASTIC!) and easy to make your way around the whole island from Punalu'u. Swim in the pool. We found the beach in our own back yard to be the BEST! Snorkel, swim, sunbath. Perfect water temperature. The condo is great and you really feel welcome, just home. Everything you need for cooking, relaxing, entertainment, even a washer and dryer (don't over pack like I did). We don't have kids but there seemed to be a more than ample supply of things for children and besides if your kids are anything like what ours used to be like they will never want to get out of the water. We spent hours there. The condo was wonderful and we are already planning our return visit. October 09, 2009Reviewer: Tracea Tateyama From: Elk Grove, CaOur family of 4 stayed in this beachfront condo for 6 days at the end of September and had a blast! The condo was well stocked with beach equipment and electronics for the kids. We dined on the screened-in lanai every night. It was extremely peaceful and very quiet. We felt like we had our own private beach, as we were the only people around most days. It was paradise! Emmanuel is very responsive and returned our deposit within days of leaving. Thanks for a great place to stay, Emmanuel! October 04, 2009Reviewer: Gil & Sally Horton From: TexasMy wife and I stayed at this property for 8 wonderful days and nights in September 09 while visiting our Navy daughter. You can't go wrong staying in this Condo. From the lanai in the morning, pool right out the door, sandy path to the ocean, just steps away we were delighted with this property. Be sure and visit Ted's Bakery up the coast. Oh the pie!!! We will stay with Emmanuel again next year, definitely. September 02, 2009Reviewer: Miki From: WashingtonWe really enjoyed our time in Oahu and that was because we had a great place to stay. All was how we expected. Just steps from the condo to the beach. We would highly recommend this condo to anyone interested in visiting Oahu. You will have a great time here! August 13, 2009Reviewer: Kim &Jim P. From: Phoenix AZ
Aloha! We stayed at this condo for 22 wonderful days. While we were originally cautious about booking such a long stay, sight unseen, I will say that his condo is exactly as described. Everything we could have needed or wanted. Beach gear and toys for all ages, lots of extra towels and sheets, huge paperback library, we borrowed 1 and left several of our own. Very well stocked kitchen. July 20, 2009Reviewer: Manuel & Sophie From: San Rafael CalifNo Regrets!! Aloha paradise everything you hear about this condo is true! and Emmanuel you are a very honest man with minutes away from broading our plane I called you (Emmanuel) with an issue that you immediate took action and helped us so thank you .. as far as the condo goes it is a best kept secret with its own private beach like feeling. My sister booked at Turtle Bay Resort and paid twice what we paid and the beach was a very crowded and a five minute walk ,as for Emmanuel condo the beach was only 30 steps away ..I enjoyed the massage chair and everything else .PCC was only minutes away . Hope to visit your condo again my friend. Mahalo June 22, 2009Reviewer: Norilda Garcia-Reed From: Houston, TXWe had a wonderful and comfortable stay in this unit. It's a corner first floor unit with the lanai fronting the pool and the ocean beyond. For us ex-kamaaina's it was good to be away from "concrete city" (Waikiki) and revisit island living. It was great to be so close to Turtle Bay for golfing/drinks; stop in at Crouching Lion for dinner/drinks; shop at Tamura's (cheaper than Foodland); and be sure to go to the Polynesian Cultural Center about 5 miles away. It's pricey but it is absolutely the best! Emmanuel is a really cool braddah that is easy to get a hold of and quick to respond! May 30, 2009Reviewer: Mike & Des From: Peirce County, Washington
This condo was perfect! Very clean and comfortable. The supply of boogie boards and snorkel gear was the best. We went 3 days to shark's cove. Don't pass by Ted's bakery YUM April 22, 2009Reviewer: lisa rappleye From: silverthorne colorado
The beach access was great, but even better was the location to go to and from other great places!. The list of things to do in the area was so helpful. My husband was thrilled to take a few moments to catch up on some e-mails on the computer provided. Our only regret, is that we only had 3 nights to spend there. Aloha April 20, 2009Reviewer: Delcy From: New York
Imagine entering an adorable and niceley decorated apartment at night, wondering what the scenery might be once you wake up. April 12, 2009Reviewer: Linda From: Michelle, and Mom, Ventura,
Can't say much about the place other than paradise. Cozy, comfortable, and simply adorable. We realy enjoyed the patio overlooking the beach every morning while we sipped on our coffee. Very relaxing. Literally steps away from the quiet beach and miles away from the busy city. If you are seeking a restful and secluded place for your future vacation then stay here!!! Accommodations were nothing but exceptional (they even had nail polisher remover and cotton balls!!!) We visited the Dole pineapple plantation and it was really fun and short. And great tasting pineapples!!! March 31, 2009Reviewer: stephanie From: monterey,caGreat experience. The beach was pristine and all to ourselves. The water was calm and very inviting. There was plenty of snorkel gear provided for us to use. The beaches on this part of the island were beautiful, calm and empty. The drive into waikiki was beautiful and easy, about 30 minutes. This side of the island is dar enough from waikiki to egt away, but close enough to drive into as we did. The condo itself was great, kitchen was fully stocked. March 08, 2009Reviewer: The Lemperle's From: San Diego, Ca.We had a wonderful stress free vacation at Mr. Chen's Condo. The location was fabulous and the beach was empty. How can it get better than that? It was very close to the Polynesian Cultural Center and the Bonzai Pipeline. The Condo was very nice with many updates to make it very comfortable. We hope to return soon. February 16, 2009Reviewer: jim richards From: vista, caMy wife and I spent 3 nights at this condo and really enjoyed it. Its in a perfect spot to really see all of the island and just far enough away from downtown to feel like you are away from the rat race. The beach is really nice although we were unlucky with the weather. The natives told us that the windy overcast weather we experienced was unusual but we were able to get one good day at the beach. This condo is a great value for anyone looking to get away from the crowds but not spend a fortune. The condo is decorated really nice and has everything you need. February 12, 2009Reviewer: Sasha From: San Diego, CAFirst of all, Emmanuel is AWESOME!!!!! So friendly and sweet. I came to Oahu for a week with 4 of my girlfriends and we stayed at Emmanuels condo... Can I just say...BEAUTIFUL?!!! It's steps away from the beach. He has so much snorkeling equipment(fins, masks, snorkels)... You can snorkel right out in front of the property. There is a private beach, really peaceful... So one way you get an amazing view of the beach, and the other way, you get a view of the beautiful mountains... So PERFECT! The condo has internet access, tv, huge king sized bed, futon, enclosed patio(but the breeze just flows right through). Towels, laundry in the unit, pots, pans, cups, blankets, pillows... Seriously, everything you need is there! It's a very nicely decorated unit!!!! But also has that beachy, laid-back-Hawaiian feel to it. I am SOOOOOO glad I found this place! I loved it so much here, that I am seriously considering buying a unit in the complex. Stay here, you wont regret it! I give it tons of thumbs up! February 10, 2009Reviewer: Camilla From: Alberta, CanadaExcellent property, super clean, no bugs or wet or anything negative, lots of supplies, dishes etc. Excellent size, everything worked great, super great beach, quiet with excellent security, great people in building. But the best part is the owner, so honest, upstanding, and geniunely concerned about his guests.Don't be afraid to rent from this owner, he didn't get all these positive comments for nothing - didn't get to meet him but he felt like family via emails and the phone.Just a note, bring earplugs anywhere you stay because there are wild roosters all over the island and they do like to get up early!Go enjoy, you will really be glad to get away from waikiki and still be close to everything. February 09, 2009Reviewer: Shawna From: Mtn. Home IDHad a great time! It was nice to have all the snorkel gear and boogie boards and not have to rent them! Beach was great and the condo has everthing. January 31, 2009Reviewer: Rebecca Petersen From: Seattle, WA
This was our first trip to Hawaii, and although we January 13, 2009Reviewer: Raphael From: Holly & Joshua Gutierrez, HoOur little family lives in waikiki and it was so nice to get away from the city. It was so beautiful and relaxing, there's boogy boards which our one year old loved, snorkeling, fishing right off the beach,or just taking a tan at the beach which is steps away and also the pool right out the back lanai, internet in the condo, also the condo was beautifully furnished with a great breeze from the beach. There were so many games, movies, and music provided, that we never could run out of fun. Like marrio brothers(nintendo 64), or Hitman(x-box), fun for kids. We live here and we enjoyed ourselves on this-get-a-way it help bring us closer together and our child slept better. Don't beleive us try it! The beach is so calm and I really loved that is was not crowded and everyone was very freindly. There is Sunset Beach, polyenison cultural center, 7-11, and many places to eat, it is so beautiful at night with the full moon shining on the ocean as we were eating dinner on the outside lanai, the condo is well set up and has everthing you could want right at your fingertips, we rate it at a 10......Aloha November 29, 2008Reviewer: John & Elsie Christian From: Kagawong, ON, Canada
The unit is very well equipped, clean and bright. The screened lanai is a pleasant place to take a meal or just to sit and enjoy the sound of the surf and the view. The beach is quiet and safe to swim in even in the winter high surf conditions when we visited in November. October 05, 2008Reviewer: David & Nancy Bennett From: Midlothian, Virginia
What a wonderful condo for us to enjoy on our very first trip to Hawaii in September this year. Very nicely decorated, very clean and within 30 steps to the beach, where the water was absolutely beautiful & calm. Everyday we practically had the beach to ourselves, where we made use of the snorkling equipment provided. We saw many different beautiful schools of fish, a morey eel & a sea turtle one day. We enjoyed sitting out on the lanai every morning to have our breakfast and enjoy the view. If you turn right out of the condos, you can enjoy a very nice 30 minuite drive to Sunset Beach and watch the surfers. Another 15 minutes or so to we were at Haleiwa with its cool atmosphere, plenty of nice restaurants and shops. We loved driving to Waikiki and shopping at the International Market. August 19, 2008Reviewer: Patrick From: Vancouver, WashingtonWe stayed for a week in August and had a great time. The condo is exactly as advertised - the beach really is 30 steps away and totally secluded. If you're looking to get away from the frenzy of Waikiki and relax while you're in Hawaii I definitely recommend this condo! August 12, 2008Reviewer: Mirizzi Family From: Sugar Land, TXHad a great time on vacation at Pat's in Unit #116. No surpises were encountered during the trip. Everything was handled very well and in a professional manner. Location of this unit was ideal. July 31, 2008Reviewer: Ron From: Northern CA
Our family had a wonderful seven day visit at the condo. Before arriving, we were a little concerned about finding comfortable accommodations for all six of us. Upon arriving we were pleased to find that there was plenty of room and bedding for all. July 14, 2008Reviewer: Steele's From: Broomfield, COBeautiful location for your family to rest and relax. Condo has everything you need from cooking to playing on the beach. Never more then 10 people on the beach private and secluded. Would highly recommend this TROPICAL PARADISE for your next vacation. Thank you Mr Chen. July 02, 2008Reviewer: Donalee From: Honolulu, HIFantastic! This condo is right on the beach. I love the three dining tables with umbrellas adjacent to the swimming pool area. I didnt get a sunburn and I was out in the sun for 2 days on the beach. I had a nice glass of wine and some snacks at the tables as the sun set on the beautiful beach. The water is calmer early in the morning. I found the afternoon surf and undertow quite strong. I would recommend swimming in the morning if possible. The condo was great. Highly recommended. May 28, 2008Reviewer: Kathleen Allen From: Richmond, British Columbia
We just returned from a wonderful vacation at Mr. Chen's condo. As past guests have commented, we too were a little hesitant renting on line but you can rest assured, it is exactly as described in print and in pictures. This truly was THE BEST unit in the building. You cannot get any closer to the beach, which had no more than 6 people on it at any given time. The sunrises were amazing and Mr. Chen supplies you with everything you could possibly need for a really enjoyable holiday. The King size bed was sooo comfortable! This is definately the place to stay for a quiet, relaxing time. We look forward to our return next year. Mahalo! May 20, 2008Reviewer: MikeIf you are looking for a quiet place to stay right next to the beach this is the place. Away from the busy Waikiki hustle and bustle it's like a home away from home. We love this place so much that we are definitely going to come back again. April 28, 2008Reviewer: Jill Bauman From: Portland Oregon4-15-2008 Just got back from a wonderful week. Great beach, nice weather and cond, was everything Mr. Chen said it would be. Great place to spend time with family, this part of Oahu is nice and quiet with nice trade winds to keep you cool. Water is nice,we saw lots!! of turtles, fun to watch. Hope to be back,we had a great time!!!!Jill,Jim,and David March 15, 2008Reviewer: Sue From: Olympia, WAWe just got back from Hawaii and are making plans to go again. Mr. Chen's condo was extremely accomodating. We stayed there with our four kids. It was wonderful to have plenty of boogie boards, masks, snorkels, coolers, etc. to use. We also made use of the washer and dryer and DVD player. Anyone would be very comfortable staying here, and the beach is AWESOME. Thank you Mr. Chen. By the way, we did receive our full deposit back, which also was great. February 25, 2008Reviewer: sheila From: Central Valley, CAMy husband and I just got back from a glorious week at Emanuel's condo on the lovely windward coast. If you are looking for a quiet, empty, beautiful beachfront place, this is it. The condo is simple but very clean, and well-stocked. We have our own snorkeling gear, but he does stock the place with lots of stuff if you don't. There are beach chairs, boogie boards, and lots of videos, books, etc. (we never used those once!) The beach is safe for kids, because it's protected by the reef 1/2 mile (?) away, but it's also great for snorkeling. I saw a 400-500 lb. sea turtle a few hundred feet out toward the reef. There are plenty of fish and sealife! Many of the people are retired residents and very friendly. Even Ken, the caretaker/gardener, was super helpful with snorkel/travel tips. The north shore waves/ Haleiwa town is about 20-30 mins. north, and Kaneohe Bay about the same distance south. This is NOT the place if you like to party, drink, club and have Waikiki style beaches and fancy accomodations. We never saw more than 7-8 people at a time on the entire stretch of beach. Also, the washer/dryer is very convenient- you go home with clean laundry! I was worried renting off of craigslist, but it really worked out. February 19, 2008Reviewer: AnonymousMy wife and I stayed here in mid Jan 08. The condo turned out to be an excellent place to stay. Just minutes from the PCC, a must see in our book, and just a half-hour or so to the North Shore. The condo was clean and nicely furnished and we enjoyed the free internet access. We will be back :) Thanks Tom December 14, 2007Reviewer: Tess & Scott Pyrah From: Boise, IDThank you so much for allowing us to rent your condo for a couple days. We loved it! The beach access was unbeatable! We were very comfortable and felt right at home. Thanks so much for all the little extras. Mr. Chen was a pleasure to work with! December 12, 2007Reviewer: Mark and Kim Adams From: Bellingham, WAThis condo was everything the ad mentioned! Emmanuel Chen responded very promptly to all e-mails. I must admit that I was a bit nervous to book a condo on line, however, reserving this condo put all my fears aside, it had all the ammenities one could ever need! The beach truly is spectacular and secluded. And as other guests have mentioned, the bed was very comfortable and the unit very clean. I would highly recommend your next vacation on the North Shore of Oahu and staying at Mr. Chen's condo! PS: we received our damage deposit one week after we returned home! (Nice!) November 03, 2007Reviewer: Mark & Debbie Biggers From: Ramah, NMWow, what a great place. Thank you Emmanuel for a great vacation. The condo accomodated all 5 of us, 4 adults and 1 two year old. The condo was completely stocked with everything you need for a beach holiday, snorckles, boogy boards, even plenty of beach toys for the kids. Kitchen is fully stocked for creating a great meal. Beds are comfortable and linens are fresh and clean. It was good to have a washer and dryer in the unit. The location is perfect, just steps from the very secluded beautiful white sand beach. Never saw more than 2-4 people on the beach at a time. The pool, is also just outside the door. This place is great for sleeping, you can hear the ocean waves breaking all day and night. So nice to get up in the morning and have your coffee just steps from the beach. The time of year we went, October, the weather is perfect. The location to outside activities is perfect. The Polyesian Cultural Center is just minutes away. The North Shore to watch surfers is just a 10 minute drive. The super market is also just minutes away. The little store, Kaya's, just across the street and down a bit is a perfect spot to pick up small items and a lovely little walk. All the amenities of the big city in a small rural town. If you like a beach vacation, but don't like the city life, crowds and traffic, then this condo at Pat's at Punaluu is the perfect place. We will be back. August 20, 2007Reviewer: Dick and Bev Greene From: Bridgman, MI
I just wanted to say I really enjoyed my stay at the condo. It was a tough life. Getting up, drinking my coffee, walking 2 minutes to the small store down the way and buying the paper. Then a little walk on the beach, snorkeling and reading on the beach for the rest of the day. Being on the first floor and in the corner unit made everything convenient and noiseless. The weather was great and when it rained it was just brief spurts. This was the best way to visit Hawaii and your unit lacked for nothing. I'm so glad I found your place. We stayed at the condo from 7/16 thru 7/23 2007. March 26, 2007Reviewer: Anonymous From: Las Vegas, NVWe had a great time at the condo! We were fairly busy during our stay, but it was so relaxing to come home to a quiet and beautiful condo on the beach. The neighbors were friendly and extremely helpful. We would definitely stay there again. March 08, 2007Reviewer: Anonymous
We rented the unit in Hauula, Oahu February 21 - March 1, 2007 and had a wonderful time. The unit was fine for all of us and the beach was absolutely beautiful for adults and children alike. It was convenient being located on the ground floor with access to the pool and shower nearby, not to mention being 100 feet from the beach! The two grocery stores in Laie were just a few minutes drive away and had a good selection. We particularily enjoyed the variety of poke available! All we read and the pictures we saw on the website are accurate - a real gem! January 21, 2007Reviewer: Neil & Marilyn Litzenberger From: Phoenix, AZWe wanted a week of relaxation and found it at Mr. Chen's condo. It was very nicely furnished and well supplied with gear for the ocean. We would definitely go again! January 14, 2007Reviewer: Michael From: Pasadena, CaliforniaMy wife & I had a wondeful time in here!!! We snorkeled just about every day, (equipment supplied) & saw lots of marine life!!! We were able to see most of the Island & we were close to the infamous North Shores' spectacular waves!! It was nice to have a quiet relaxing place where we could make our own meals & then get ready to enjoy Hawaii's natural beauty!! We are looking foward to coming back!!! We highhly recommend this place!!! October 17, 2006Reviewer: Manzanares Family From: Corona, CAThe condo was great! For a family of 6, we were all very comfortable. Mr. Chen has thought of it all, by suppling everthing you need for a fun vacation. Lisa (the cleaning lady) was very helpful in showing us around the condo when we got there. Just steps from the pool and beach (almost private), my boys had a great time. I would definitely recommend renting this condo. October 15, 2006Reviewer: Paul & Joyce Allen From: Aiken, SCThe condo was everything Mr Chen said it would be. From the fully equipped kitchen to the swimming gear we couldn't have asked for more. Having a computer made it easy to stay in touch with family. We had the beach to ourselves 99% of the time and it truly was close. Highly recommended for a relaxing vacation. August 21, 2006Reviewer: Anonymous From: Mililani, HIThe condo was very nice, clean, and well equipt with everything from kitchen supplies to beach towels and snorkels. The beach and pool are just steps away and it is so wonderful and relaxing to listen to the ocean waves from the lanai. We really enjoyed our short stay there. It is really a wonderful place and when the construction on the building is complete it will be even better. We look forward to going back and staying there again someday. August 20, 2006Reviewer: David C Moyers From: St Joseph, MO 64506The accommodations were very nice and I recommend these to anyone. We stayed 2 days in Waikiki and the seclusion of North Shore was a welcome change. We had easy access to other locations on the island and the condo provided adequate room for 4 adults and a teenager. Thanks Mr. Chen for your gracious hospitality. We look forward to a return visit. March 29, 2006Reviewer: Rose Rutherford From: Richmond,VAI would highly recommend this vac home to anyone visiting Oahu. It was just far enought away to avoid the hussle and bussle of town but close enough to make the trip at anytime. We appreciated the solitude after very busy days of trying to see and do everything in one week. The washer/dryer and kitchen were a big plus and helped make our vacation great. The only thing I regret is not being able to stay longer. One week is not enough time. Next time we will stay two weeks and most certainly stay at Mr. Chen's place. My family & I just got back from Hawaii and Mr. Chen's condo. I wanted to thank you, Emmanuel, for giving us a chance to create many wonderful memories. Our first night at the condo we ran into problems with the computer and there was a tech there within a half hour. What service! June 06, 2005Reviewer: william long / jan hipa From: oxnard caOur ten day visit was wonderful. A quiet hideaway from the the bustling west side of the island. cool breezes and sandy beaches where you can actually be the only one there at times. the peacefulness of it all was what we were looking for, and found. Thank you Mr Chen. Aloha maika'i no April 25, 2005Reviewer: AnonymousWhat a wonderful place to relax and unwind. Mr. Chen has taken care of all the details and we highly recommend his beach house for your stay. His home is lovely and the beach is amazing!! We were very impressed with the quiet beach and the long stretch of sand for walking every morning. What a difference from Waikiki! we did drive into Honolulu for a day and enjoyed hiking Diamond Head and shopping in the International Market, but were less than impressed with the crowds at Waikiki. It was difficult to find a spot to place our towels! We generally liked the northern end of Oahu which was very scenic and different from our Midwest. March 10, 2005Reviewer: The Smiths From: Barnegat.NJThank you Mr Chen. You were a wonderful host the condo was perfect.Very clean loved having the internet to keep in touch with the family back home.We spent the month of Feb there would go back.It was the best vacation ever. The beach was lovely, people friendly could not ask for more.Mahalo February 12, 2005Reviewer: Judith Maher From: Creston, B.C. CanadaThe condo was everything we'd hoped for and more. The swimming pool really was outside our door. The ocean really was 20 feet past the pool. The little convenience store was directly across from our unit. The grandchildren had a whale of a time with all the water toys. The unit was clean and we appreciated the coffee, tea, sugar, etc. that we found in the cupboard. Mr. Chen was a great help to us with all the problems that arose from our end. (Including an extra grandchild coming with us at the last minute.) The movies were great on the day it rained. The beach was superb! Even the gecko our youngest (8) found co-operated and let her have a really good look at him/her. The only complaint ......5 grandchildren and only 1 computer!!! All of them wanted to be on the internet every evening telling family and friends how great Hawaii is, and everything we did that day. Would we stay at Sandy Shores again? In a heartbeat!! We were a real test of our host's hospitality, arriving December 20, 2004Reviewer: Gary & Nancy Grimes & Family From: Riverton, NJWe all had a wonderful time on our trip to the less travelled part of Oahu! The condo was in very nice condition, and wonderfully convenient to the beach and the pool just outside our door. The beach feels like it is your own secluded beach - there was hardly anyone on it! Thanks to Mr. Chen for his well-stocked unit, and gracious hospitality. We would vacation in the unit again, and hope to some day. Aloha & mahalo! May 18, 2004Reviewer: Monica Horne From: Rio Rico, AzWe recently enjoyed a nice week long vacation with some friends on Oahu. We knew we wanted to stay on the North Shore away from Waikiki so we were very happy to have found Mr. Chen's condo. It was great! Very comfortable and well equipped. The sheets were even ironed! Wow!!! We definetly enjoyed being able to wake up and walk right out to the beach for peaceful early morning and late night strolls. THANKS SO MUCH MR CHEN April 26, 2004Reviewer: Lynda TurnerMy husband and I spent a wonderful three days in the condo. It was our first visit to Hawaii and we just loved the North Shore. So beautiful and unspoiled. The condo was extremely well-equipped and fabulously clean. We loved the location - halfway between Haleiwa and Lanikai Beach. We hope to return someday. We enjoyed our stay very much. I think the most appreciated amenity was the internet access. It was very nice to be able to keep up with everything going on at home. December 16, 2003Reviewer: Patricia DeRose From: Albuquerque, NM
Dear Mr. Chen, July 14, 2003Reviewer: Steve & Kristinea From: Murrieta, CAIf you want to stay on the most beautiful side of the island, where just steps from your front door is the beach, a pool & a lifetime of memories, this is your place. 5 of us (3 kids) slept comfortably, and had so many extra amenities that were available to us. Early morning coffee on the patio and walks on the beach were so nice. Waiamea Bay was our personal favorite, it was a short drive to paradise. We had the beautiful fish and sea turtles right there. We were able to golf at the different courses, they were beautiful. We all snorkeled and had a lot of fun. We caught the "Aloha" Spirit and didn't want to leave. Waikiki was nice for shopping and the Blue Hawaii Show at the Beachcomber Hotel was very enjoyable. Hawaiian Waters, a swim park, was a lot of fun for the whole family. Eman had movies galore for relaxing at night. Be sure to go to the Crouching Lion for dinner. The king sized bed was roomy and nice. It was nice to have all the amenities that were offered from this condo. The islanders are friendly and nice to talk with. A lifetime of memories starts here! December 30, 2002Reviewer: donna d. day From: LutzWe absolutely enjoyed our stay in the condo. We have traveled many places and have never had the amenities Mr. Chen provided. The place is stocked with movies, nintendo and games, books even a computer. The locals are very friendly and we enjoyed Mr. Chen's nieces! The beach is perfect and you have it and the scenery all to yourself. I would definitely go back. The Days December 08, 2002Reviewer: Mel Franks
Hauula is about as far as you can get from Waikiki, literally and figuratively. Definite "locals" area. Condo is steps away from a virtually private beach... we never saw more than a handful of people on a stretch of sand about a mile long. Unit is far November 12, 2002Reviewer: Connie Hillock
I didn't actually stay at this condo, however, we stayed at Emmanuel's other condo in Waikiki -- totally heaven. Upon our arrival, Emmanuel showed us this condo and I was totally impressed. He was going the extra mile and lining shelves because he had guests coming in two days....this was late in the evening and he offered to show us the condo. Located right on the beach; clean, every electronic gadget you could want. Next November 07, 2002Reviewer: Maxine Shea From: Honolulu, HawaiiDear Mr. Chen, I recently rented your condo for a family reunion and we all had such a great time!! Your accomodations were well equipped and very clean and the location along with the quiet atmosphere of Hauula brought us all back to the Hawaii we grew up with. We will definitely be recommending your rental to all our friends locally and on the mainland USA!! Thank you so much for making our reunion wonderful!! Maxine Shea November 03, 2002Reviewer: James Snyder From: Lancaster CaI just had to leave a note about Emmanuel Chen's rental to me and my family. It was truly a great Hawaiian adventure for us and a time we will remember and gauge other vacations by. First I would like to comment on the location, it is so close to the ocean you hear the waves as you relax. The view of the mountians are breath-taking and when we arrived the condo was emaculate. I was nervous about not being able to use my credit card and the three hundred dollar deposit that was required. So I just withdrew the cash from my card, being cheap, and wanting my frequent flyer miles Mr. Chen promptly refunded my deposit upon our departure. My wife wanted me to add that it was a great convience for her that the accomodations had come stocked with video games to keep our children busy while we had some private time to just relax. We intend to visit here again and certianly recomend that if your looking for that special place this is the one. Best Regards, James C. Snyder October 31, 2002Reviewer: Ingrid From: Honolulu HII'm a local girl from Hawaii, and took a much needed vacation at Emmanuel's Hauula vacation rental. The location is what vacationers imagine Hawaii to be!! And this is coming from a local girl from Hawaii!! You are just a few feet from the clean ocean, no polluted (suntan lotion) water to worry about. The rental is very clean, it had everything we needed. It was definitely a good experience, and what a bargain!! I highly recommend it. October 30, 2002Reviewer: Greg Brown From: M.D., Laguna Hills,CAWe had a great time at the Hauula condo. The beach is literally 20 yards from the front of the condo and gorgeous ocean views. My son, daughter and her friends all thoroughly enjoyed themselves for the week. I have known Mr. Chen for years, and he is honest, dependable and fair. He treated my children as if they were is own. He is truely loved by all of us. Any comments to the contrary, well, I guess you would have to consider the negative source. October 30, 2002Reviewer: Arlene Wright From: Depoe Bay, Oregon USA

Thanks for the wonderful hospitality....I was very impressed with the condo and the niceties there. The place was immaculate and very well stocked with movies, music, towels, and even some macadamia cookies. It was great.....I plan to come here next year and every year after that....... Thank you so much for your Hawaiian Aloha and your wonderful place. October 30, 2002Reviewer: WILLIE E. JONES From: Oakland Ca
Super vacation, super location, super weather. I loved the nice amenities of the condo, the personal touch was very much appreciated. The beach is right out the door, like private, nice and secluded. The support staff, or whatever they were...were great...no problems...just a lot of friendly helpful people. I highly recommend this vacation rental. Thank you Manuel October 30, 2002Reviewer: Gaddis Family From: Seattle, WashingtonAloha! And Mahalo to the Owner of the best oceanfront condo we've ever stayed at. It was also the first vacation unit we've stayed at that supplied swimming, diving, surfing and fishing supplies for guest to use at no additional cost. Thank you $! I got to sunbathe on the clean white sandy beach, as my husband took the two boys to do the watersports activities. Thank you... Thank you!! The unit we stayed in supplied the most we've ever got in Hawaii. The 2 tv/vcrs was wonderful. The boys watched movies (movie library included!), as we watched ours. The boys played the tv ninento game, as we played the cd stereo (cd music library included!). Access to a computer was my total satisfaction. Large W/D was the BEST! Thank you for relieving stress! We've told our family and friends about this oceanfront getaway (business owners and corporate executives). I am a very particular person... (doctor says) and was very pleased w/EVERYTHING this Owner shares at a very, very reasonable cost. Thank you. See you soon... very soon. October 30, 2002Reviewer: Betty and Al From: Modesto CA
09/17/2002 What a great place to spend the vacation you always wanted....just like the ad reads, 30 steps to the beach, talk about location on a tropical island, it is located in the most tropical area of Oahu, close to everything but enough away to enjoy the spirit and peace of the island, The condo was furnished with every possible need, from books to read to video and CD's, Nintendo and tapes,,,what a great time we had, My son and family stayed with us at the condo (stationed at Kaneohe)and very comfortably slept 6. I highly recommend it and the price was right too. The beach was deserted most of the time and we had it all to ourselves. I would not stay on Waikiki again knowing this place was on the other side of Oahu. Check in and out was easy, and no problem in getting the deposit back,,,,,,my grandsons had a great time with all the snorkel gear and boogy boards, full kitchen, washer and dryer, great beach access on bottom floor, at the end of the building where it is quiet, and I can't say enough about the beach, if anything it is the reason to stay at this condo, fantastic!!!!! Aloha and Peace in the world...(from a mother of a marine)-Betty and Al, Modesto CA October 30, 2002Reviewer: Kaylan Pendleton From: Phoenix, ArizonaHello everyone! I just wanted to comment on my vacation staying at this property #3010 in Hauula. I had the best vacation ever when I stayed here. In fact, it was my 4th trip to Hawaii and I've never been more pleased with any place I've stayed. This condominium is perfect for a small family or for a few friends that want to get away. Literally, it is only a few steps from the glorious beach. There is great snorkeling and the owner even provided equipment for us to explore the beautiful ocean with. The condo was the cleanest place I've ever stayed at on any trip I’ve been to…anywhere, and I’ve traveled a lot. We all know that Hawaii is known for it's little critters, but I was amazed to have a whole month there staying in a bottom floor condo and not once seeing a bug, unless of course it was outside the screen on the lanai when I was out there listening to the waves crash. Even staying in a highly rated Outrigger property on Waikiki Beach, I have never been so impressed. I must say that I out of many people would be able to tell you how vacation facilities should be. I’ve worked for Best Western, The World’s Largest Hotel Chain® for a year and a half and I know the standards most people set and look for in a place to stay away from home. THIS IS YOUR PLACE! The owner is a wonderful person to work with and completely fair. I would absolutely stay here again and plan to in the future when my time does permit. We got our complete deposit back and didn’t have a single problem. We were even treated with delicious chocolate macadamia nuts when we left because we left the place so clean and in its original arrival status. I hope all of you will stay here, because I can vouch that this is a wonderful vacation condo and I will have the most wonderful memories of this trip because of it.
