We built this charming Queen Anne Victorian duplex behind our 150 year old home, one of Santa Barbara's oldest Victorians. It was built in the mid 1800s. We restored it in 1998.

In 2001 we built the duplex and included tower, complete with witches cap. This Santa Barbara duplex consists of 2 townhouses, which are tastefully furnished with an eclectic mix of family heirlooms and new craftsman style furniture. Some of the unique features are hand-inlaid wood floors, several handmade leaded windows, a bay window/window-seat, and a fireplace in the living room. Both of these Santa Barbara units have decks.

The A deck is open to the sky. It is perfect for sunbathing! This 20 ft x 25 ft deck is furnished with a glass-topped wrought iron table and 6 chairs; a 2 person glider for occasional seating; and the hot tub and gas grill. It is ideal for a BBQ, board games, and family time.

The cozy B deck is under roof and extends into the octagon shape created by the tower. It is a wonderful outdoor room, just off the kitchen. You will really enjoy this private retreat for morning coffee, an outdoor luncheon, a bridge game, an intimate candlelit dinner, or a nightcap enjoying the Santa Barbara sunsets.

These are 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath rooms with sleeping capacity for up to 6 people plus an infant. We can supply a crib for the infant; or an airbed for a child who is too big for a crib and too young to sleep in a regular bed.

The 2 bedrooms are upstairs and have cathedral ceilings. There is a king bed in the master bedroom, with bath en suite; and, twin beds in the second bedroom with bath across the hall.

The living room, downstairs, has a futon that can be made into a double bed; a coffee table, occasional chairs and the flat screen HD TV. The fully equipped kitchen is across the breakfast bar from the living.

- 90 miles (some scenic, some not so) south on Rte 101 to the San Fernando Valley/LA area.
