I stayed at the Rocking D on 11-5-04 till yesterday 11-7-04. I did not want to leave, it is absolutely one of the most beautiful serene places I have ever visited. We went to Bear Tree Lake and spent the day fishing and walking around the lake. This lake is so quite clean peaceful and beautiful. We plan to return as soon as possible to our little hideaway in the mountains. This is just a great place to go and do nothing or get outdoors and enjoy. I will recommend the Rocking D to all my friends and co-workers as a great get away. The owners are wonderful people and anyone who goes up to it will enjoy the Rocking D. and its private setting..

My family has a homeplace in the area and we needed extra space for our annual reunion. The experience was great from the time I contacted Anne through the end of our vacation. We had a wonderful time at the Rockin' D and even booked it for the same time next year.
There is plenty of room and our dogs loved having the run of the yard and swimming in the pond. My 2 nephews spent lots of time down feeding the fish. We cooked several large meals there for extended family and even spent one night having smores around the big BBQ pit.
We were pleased with the service and hospitality of Anne and Eddie. I have brought cards and brochures home to give to people looking for a mountain getaway.

Myself and five friends stayed at the Rockin D Ranch for 4 days over Memorial Day week-end 2004. We had a wonderful time. It is located in a beautiful spot in the mountains, near the Appalachian Trail, has a large fenced in yard and everything you need to make you feel at "home". Anne and Ed Blevins provide all that you need for a comfortable stay. It is the perfect choice for a vacation in that area of Virginia.
