What a wonderful get a way for us! The "Other" house was everything we could imagine and more. The decor and furnishings were completely comfortable and made us feel right at home. There was nothing we could have needed as everything is there. Thank you for sharing this with us, and we will be making the trip again next year in early spring.

I stayed there last weekend and had a blast,My wife and myself were there with our best friends Julie/jaymie. What a nice place, hoping to return soon for another trip.I would recommend this to anyone, the house had everything that you could need,except an XRAY machine.We weren't there 2 hours already and I tripped on the jetty and fractured my hand.No fault except my own.Just another good story to be told about the vacation.I would give your place a 10 rating anytime.Can't wait until we return.

My daughter, granddaughter and myself stayed mid-August, 2008 and had a fantastic time. Wonderful place to stay, GREAT hosts. We really enjoyed watching for the different birds, listening to the owl, walking on the beach at night chasing the crabs. Hope to visit again soon!!!!

July 30-Aug. 2, 2008, our stay at your darling "lighthouse" was wonderful, it is equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed the walks along the beach, collecting sea shells and each other's company. The lighthouse is totally what we were looking for. Our girls will certainly remember this vacation forever. We visited the Lighthouse May 16-18 and fell in love with it. It was everything and more of what we expected. The owners went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. Can't say enough. Will be back as soon as I can get a reservation!

We spent 3 of the best days you could have. Private with a wonderful view from the beutiful deck. I really cant say enough about this cute home. A big plus is the fishing pier just a short walk down the road. The lot is spacious and the owners were wonderful hosts with quite a bit of history and a lot of hard work and heart invested in one of the last truly quiet beach areas left. I will be comming back again and again. Loved it.

The lighthouse is the perfect vacation house! We live fairly close, but wanted to spend the night fishing and visiting with a few friends. This house was very welcoming, extra clean, and had everything you can need. We also found the the lighthouse child-friendly with videos, games, and books on hand. There were extra supplies stocked up that made it "just like home." The back deck looking over the ocean was incredibly relaxing and included a BBQ pit. But, what set this house apart from the others is the lit up fishin pier located at the end of the road (we stayed out there all night). We will be another of the many familys that are regulars there, as it was a A+ experience for all!

It is a very comfortable little house that is like having your own private home. Whether you are walking the beach or using it as a base to visit the many state parks and multitudinous historic sites up and down the Texas Gulf coast or visiting Houston or Galveston, you have so many options that we could have stayed longer than two weeks and still not have seen everything. Great time.
A lot of thought and care have gone into creating this ambiance.

Nice, comfortable place to stay. Priced just right! We enjoyed eating out on the deck with the view of the Gulf. Big yard, nicely kept. It was great being able to walk down to the beach and not having to get sand in your car. House was clean and neat. Good mattresses and pillows on beds. Plenty of clean linens. Air conditioner worked great. As we were leaving, the teenage kids asked if we could come back next year. So, see you next summer!

Have no words to express hoe Maria and I felt about our stay at hte Lighthouse (2-4 Apr. 2004). A great place to relax and enjoy a great piece of mind.
