located in the panhandle region of Florida along the beautiful Gulf of
Mexico. Made famous by its beautiful finely ground white sands,
Pensacola Beach is an ideal location for romantic getaways, family fun,
and relaxation in the sun. Home to the first settlement in North
America, Spanish explorer Don Tristan de Luna inhabited Pensacola Beach
six years prior to the establishment of the city of St. Augustine.

Constructed in 1834, Fort Pickens is located on the western end of
Pensacola Beach, on the island town of Santa Rosa. Fort Pickens was a
union outpost during the Civil War, the fort overlooks breathtaking
beaches and now provides daily tours and bike trails for visitors. The
Pensacola Beach area is also home to the USS Massachusetts, a historic
American battleship which now lies on the floor of the Gulf of Mexico in
the Fort Pickens State Aquatic Preserve.
