Vacation Rental Home Description

Lamb's Cottages consist of four unique vacation rentals on the island of Nevis, West Indies: two traditional Antillean style gingerbread cottages and two ecological cottages, resting on stilts above the rainforest canopy. The original sections of the property was built 1893. Main Cottage and Garden Cottage offer fully airconditioned luxury accommodation and are equipped with state-of-the-art kitchens, furnished with antiques and surrounded by lush tropical gardens with a pool and a jacuzzi, offering stunning views of the Caribbean Sea and sister island St. Kitts. Firefly Cottages, our two ecological cottages, offer dramatic mountain views, rustic elegance and modern comfort in a natural setting overlooking a stream. They are also airconditioned and have breezy balconies, perfect for nature lovers interested in the island's wildlife. Monkeys, birds, butterflies and dancing fireflies populate the forest below. Spring Hill Nature Trail starts by the cottages, leading to a historic plantation ruin higher up on the mountain side.

Other Vacation Rentals By Owner Information: Owner Comments: The cottages are rented on a weekly basis. Maid service is included. Rates are per week in US dollars. Additional days pro-rated. Government tax, currently 8%, to be added. We do not accept credit cards. Payment may be made by cash, check or bank transfer. Deposits are required for a guaranteed reservation: 50% with booking, the balance 30 days prior to arrival. For full refund, we request a 30 day cancellation notice. A refundable phone and security deposit of US$300 will be collected on arrival. Other Property Features & Appliances: The cottages can be rented individually or as a 5-bedroom unit by a larger party. Main Cottage is perfect for a family with children, as it has a small baby bedroom next to the master bedroom, equipped with a twin bed with a pull-out. Main Cottage also has a self-sufficient, basement nanny studio with a queen bed, a kitchenette and an en suite bathroom. Firefly Cottages and Garden Cottage sleep two each. All cottages are totally self-sufficient and private, with their own gardens or outdoor space, but easily reached by foot. Firefly Cottages are located in a ravine, across a nature trail from Sodertorpet's Main Cottage and Garden Cottage. Main Cottage and Garden Cottage are steps apart, separated by a terraced lawn, a flowering hedge and an antique stone wall. Due to the height above the ground, Firefly Cottages are not suitable for small children.
