Imagine escaping on a vacation getaway to a real log cabin that is both quiet and secluded
yet only 1/2 mile from Hill City's Main Street. Our property is in the "Heart of the Black Hills"
so we are centrally located to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Deadwood, Wind Cave, Jewel
Cave, and many other Black Hills attractions.
You will find our well-appointed accommodations awaiting you after a day of hiking or biking
on the 109-mile Mickelson Trail, which runs through our property. We have a private access
gate that opens directly onto the trail. If you are looking forward to some of that famous
Black Hills fishing, Deerfield lake is just up the road.
Hill City, with its many art galleries, restaurants, and gift shops is only a ten minute walk into
town. This small historic gold-mining community is also home to the feature film favorite
"1880 Train."
Abundant activities aside, we are also renowned for our peace and solitude; before your day
of sightseeing begins, picture yourself lingering over a cup of coffee as whitetail deer graze in
the meadow beyond. And after a day of touring, imagine curling up by the fireplace reading a
book or sitting on the deck enjoying a glass of award-winning wine from nearby Prairie Berry
Winery.

Our Timber Haus cabin is one of six log cabins rentals located in a secluded and intimate setting.
A gate on the property, installed for the exclusive use of our guests, opens onto the 109-mile Mickelson Hiking & Biking Trail - a favorite among area walkers, bicyclists, and horse enthusiasts! In the winter, it’s a popular destination for cross-country skiers.
A handcrafted picnic shelter, complete with picnic tables and a large gas barbeque is available for our guests' use. It provides a delightful gathering place for friends and families to enjoy an outdoor meal. In addition, each cabin is equipped with its own gas barbeque for mountain dining al fresco! |

| The Newton Fork Creek meanders through the ranch and, weather-permitting, is alive with pan-size rainbow trout. If you are ambitious, walk next door and pan for gold at Wade’s Gold Mill, a popular destination for visitors in search of an Old West experience. |
