The view was spectacular and we were able to watch all the sunsets - relaxed with a glass of wine - from the comfort of the deck. The condo was actually nicer than expected and the view really is fabulous. There is a good sized deck and you are literally right at the beach so you can enjoy just by stepping outside. the condo had everything you could need and even little extra's like a stereo, music, candles, books, movies etc. I even found a bag of beach toys that my kids could play with. Lincoln city is just a short drive away, but next door there is a nice cafe and a grocery store so you don't have to leave if you don't want to. Beach is very nice and has its own little inlet which is great for kids to swim in. Only thing that would've made it perfect is if there was direct access to the beach straight from the condo (you have to walk down past 2 buildings and around to get to the beach. not too far -just a 5 minute walk, but can be a little bit of a trek if you have young kids and have to carry a lot of gear) Overall, I highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet beach vacation. The Irwins are very nice and accomodating. Their rental is very clean, nice and a breathtaking view. It is quiet and peaceful. The bed is a little lacking in comfort and could use an upgrade but it does not keep us from renting over and over again. The people are the friendliest you could ever wish to meet. I rented this condo for a 3-night personal retreat the week of Oct. 23, 2006. It couldn't have been more perfect. Wonderful and relaxing views of the ocean and Proposal Rock from both the living room and bedroom. Easy access to the beach, well furnished, well-stocked kitchen, clean, all furnishings in excellent condition - no noticeable wear anywhere. Very comfortable king-size bed. To sum it up: nothing missing. I'll definitely be back. The view is one of the best on the Oregon coast. The condo was very comfortable and quiet. It was a haven from the harried life of the valley. The condo is the perfect size and pleasingly furnished. It had everything I needed and more during my week stay. A pleasant aspect of staying here is the ability to do everything without driving. A very good restaurant and general store are a block away. It sits right next to a river, and Proposal rock, the beach, and the ocean are right off the deck. The front room has a sliding glass door the entire length of the condo, and the bedroom window is also quite large, giving views from wherever you are. The condo is at the end of the building, making it more private and quiet than others. The condo furnishings are not pretentious, but are simple and include all of the basics.
