My husband and I stayed in early June of 2005. We loved it. Beautiful cabin with lots of space and a high ceiling in the great room. We did all our cooking at the cabin which had a well stocked kitchen and a nice dining area. We grilled out too. The cabin is hidden away in a the side of a hill winding up a very twisty-turny road, very picturesque. We spent a lot of time on the deck and in the hot tub. The town of Boone is a short drive away and is a great college town with lots of cafe's and bookstores. We brought our mountain bikes and found some great trails in the area and also hiked a lot of trails off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Great vacation and we hope to go back again this year!

Sugar Bear's Overlook was absolutely amazing. My wife and I spent our honeymoon there in July of this past summer. We spent several days just relaxing at the cabin, taking in the serene environment and lounging in the hot tub and on the porch. There's a nice view off of the front and the seclusion is unbeatable. A perfect getaway for a romantic weekend or just an escape from the office.
