Round Knob Lodge is great for family reunions, corporate retreats, church retreats and history/train buffs. It was originally built in the 1930s and fully restored in 2002 to 2003. The building was beautifully constructed by the railroad out of stone, massive railroad steel bridge beams and large railroad timbers. Included among the extensive stonework are 5 stone fireplaces.
This lodge was a part of a destination landmark constructed by the railroad. Andrew's Geyser -- built in 1885 to mark the railroad gateway to the
Blue Ridge Mountains-- is adjacent to the property shooting a powerful stream of
