Imagine staying at this newer, tastefully decorated, two-story cedar cabin with three bedrooms, two baths, and two fireplaces. It's nestled in a tranquil area with fabulous mountain views.


This meticulous cabin has hardwood floors, berber carpet, and a wrap-around deck. The large master bedroom (with queen-size bed) and bath are on the second floor. The master bedroom features a stone, gas fireplace, and french doors leading to a private deck. The other two bedrooms (one with a queen-size bed and one with twin beds) are located on the main floor.


The kitchen is fully equipped with all major appliances and dishwasher... all the conveniences of home. The great room / kitchen / dining area has a cathedral ceiling and stone, gas fireplace with triple French doors opening to the wraparound deck which is furnished with outdoor table, chairs, and gas BBQ grill. Two cable TVs (1 in great room; 1 in master bedroom) are provided along with a VCR, DVD and CD players.

And there is a utility room with washer and dryer. Linens are furnished. You only bring paper products, and soap/laundry detergents.

Downtown Asheville is just 20 minutes away. The home is only 15 minutes from the Biltmore House, Gardens and Winery, where more than a century ago, George Vanderbilt created a larger-than-life country retreat in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains. My cabin is also a 10 minute drive from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 15 minutes north of the Asheville Airport, and 20+ minutes from the unique historical town of Hendersonville, North Carolina.


Enjoy the sites, views, crafts, white water rafting, fishing, golfing, horseback riding, the Carl Sandburg home which is a National Historic Site... hot air balloon rides, swimming, tubing, rock climbing, and even hiking with llamas. A must visit is Mast General Store in downtown Asheville which has been restored to its 1940s heyday featuring fixtures from the era and other mementos from the past. Biltmore Village, next to the Biltmore Estate, has numerous unique shops and restaurants.


There are site seeing tours where you visit such places as the Southern Highland Craft Guild's Folk Art Center, featuring the work of over 700 crafts people, and the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, which features the largest unsupported dome in North America. There is also a stop at the North Carolina Arboretum, a 426-acre preserve where walking trails wind through gardens of native plants and flowers.


Golf courses to accommodate all skill levels are abundant. The Cherokee Indian Reservation, Harrah's Casino and Maggie Valley tourist areas are also not far.
