Charming, spotlessly clean chalet in Eidelweiss Village, just minutes from Kancamagus Highway, Conway, and North Conway. Our wooded setting provides a peaceful, back-to-nature vacation. We are 1/4 mile to the nearest beach (there are five in Eidelweiss). There is also a new playground area and basketball court. Enjoy year-round outdoor activities.
Our kitchen provides all you will need to cook a great meal, or you can enjoy a relaxing meal on our deck cooking on our charcoal grill. Our chalet includes two televisions with cable TV DVD/VCR/CD player. There is a wood burning stove in the family room. Linens and towels are not provided. We have a nice sized yard for children to play. In the winter we provide firewood and snowplowing.
Summer Activities: Story Land, Santas Village, Cathedral Ledge, Kancamagus Highway, hiking trails, golf, fishng, boating, kayaking and tax free outlet shopping in North Conway.
Winter Activities: Skiing & tubing at King Pine, Mt.Cranmore, Attitash Bear Peak, Wild Cat and 45 minutes from Sunday River. There are snowmobile trails, ice skating and lots more.

Pictures do not do it justice. Literally everything you need from home Gail has in her chalet. It's a warm, comfortable and very enviting place. Very kid friendly, or even perfect for a romantic get-away. Centrally located in Eidelweiss which is 15 min. from Conway Village and restaurants, outlets, attractions and awesome swimming holes! Beautiful deck with sliding doors from the living room and a nice sized yard and private driveway. You feel very peaceful and can really unwind here. Beds are very comfy also. We can't wait to return to Gail's cottage - she's super friendly and will help you in any way she can. Thanks for a super vacation, Gail! The house was nice and clean with plenty of room for everyone. The little ones LOVED the bunk room! The beach is a short walk; it was nice and clean and never got crowded. We really enjoyed this home and it was nice that it is tucked away in the woods, but we were so close to all of the activities that we wanted to do.The homeowners are also wonderful! She was a plesaure to communicate with and her home was a pleasure to stay at! It's located in a very quiet community in Madison, which we found to be very centrally located to both Tamworth and Conway. Everything was immaculately clean, and the home had a nice sized deck (with BBQ), kitchen with fridge, microwave, stove, plates, cups, dishwasher, etc. The living room was large and the tv had cable and a DVD player. 3 nice sized bedrooms were located downstairs. The house was a very nice temperature, but there were many blankets in the home in case you need them. We didn't have any issues during our stay. We walked down to the lake area, which is very close to her home. In nice weather I can imagine all of the activities that must take place there. Only 3 suggestions: 1) make sure to have (and follow) detailed directions to the home, 2) don't forget to bring linens, and 3) consider brining some food or drinks to the apartment when you arrive, as no supermarkets are within walking distance. Neither of these were an issue for us, but it would be a good reminder. If I find myself anywhere near the area again, I would have no hesitation staying here again! May 07, 2009Reviewer: tracy From: belchertown, mawe stayed here during our april school vacation week and had a wonderful time. the chalet was immaculate and spacious. it had every ammenity we needed. the floor plan is open and never felt crowded. the 4 girls (ages 14 - 16) loved the room with the two twin beds and bunk beds - they had a blast laughing til the wee hours. and the boys were happy in the room with two twins. my husband and i had the master bedroom and found it to be very comfortbale - which is high praise from my husband who has a bad back. the outlets were only about 10 minutes away, and the grocery store as well. half of my crew hiked tuckerman's ravine. it was a great get away. in case you haven't notice we loved the chalet and gail was a sweetheart to deal with, our deposit was returned within a week, and paypal made payment easy. As others have said, as soon as you walk in, it feels like home. Clean, cozy, decorated wonderfully, everything you could need, just bring your linens and food! Evenings beside the wood stove and morning coffee on the private and peaceful deck. I especially love the setup, with the bedrooms downstairs it is very easy to sleep in late. Walking in the front door you feel a warmth about the home. It's clean and the country theme is perfect. My girls loved the setup of the bedrooms, as did I. At mealtime it was nice to sit at the table with the windows open and feel the breeze. We loved the ponds right down the road, North Conway was close by and other fun places to go. We plan on returning again next August for another quiet, fun and stress free vacation! It was just wonderful! When we opened the door to the chalet we were just taken aback. It was impeccable. It was decorated so beautifully and there was everything we needed. From the two TV's (my husband had to watch the game and the kids wanted to watch a movie!) to the pots and pans. The rooms worked out perfect too, the kids loved the bunk beds. We had lots of fun from driving into town, going to Storyland to just going to the near-by beach. I would absolutely recommend anyone to stay at this chalet. The chalet is ALWAYS immaculately clean and we have never had any maintenance problems. The location is great for skiing and tubing at several mountains (10 minutes from King Pine, 20 Minutes from Cranmore, and many other's just a little further). If you like ice skating, ice fishing, etc. in the winter (or swimming, fishing, etc. in the summer), there are lakes in the neighborhood just a stone's throw from the chalet. Pizza, groceries, shopping outlets and just about everything else in North Conway is just minutes away. Overall we have been extremely happy with this rental and could not give a higher recommendation. If you are thinking about renting in the Madison/North Conway area, I highly recommend you consider this chalet. The owners have taken exceptional care of this spectacular vacation home. The home is always clean and we never any maintenance problems. The house is conveniently located to any vacation attraction that may interest you or you family. We were a little nervous, organising our vacation from so far away but it could not have been easier to deal with Gail. When we arrived at the house, we were so delighted with it. We had rented it for 4 weeks so it was important that it felt homely. Although we had seen photos of the inside, and they are a very true representation, they did not do justice to the feel of the property. Everything that we needed was in the house and it was just perfect for us. The yard was great for the children to play in while we sat on the deck in the evening and it was nice to have the bedrooms downstairs because it meant that the nights were never too hot (coming from Ireland, we are not used to being too warm at night!) The property is very well placed for the ponds (Fantastic!)and loads of sightseeing and shopping. Our children never once missed home but now that we are home, they miss the ponds! We had the most relaxing vacation ever and we can not recommend this property highly enough.
