This rental was not as promised. We called before we went to make sure that they had a sandy beach area, play equipment, and a water trampoline as the website promised and were told yes to both by the owner. When we got there, there was no beach area, the playground equipment did not look safe to play on, and we were told they had taken the water trampoline out 2 years ago! We also asked if cabin #1 was suitable for children our age and were told yes. In fact, the stairs to the loft were extremely steep and narrow. Our 7 year old fell on them twice. If you do plan to vacation here, be aware that they do not provide towels, soap, or air conditioning. We ended up cleaning the cabin before we unpacked as well. There was a layer of dirt on everything from the kitchen counters to the bedroom dressers. We took 2 of our own fans as well which was a good decision because it was extremely hot in the bedrooms. Also be aware that the bathroom is very small and the shower is made for someone under 5'5" tall. The nearest Wal-Mart is 40 minutes away in Brainard, which we ended up driving to the day we got their for towels, dishsoap, garbage bags, etc. If you go, be prepared! Ask the owner to send you pictures of the resort so you are not shocked like we were. Our neighbors in the 2 cabins next to us even said they were surprised at how rundown everything was. They said they had asked the owner to e-mail them photos of the cabins and the owner refused.
