We rented #5507 in July 2004 for one week, and someone changed the lock box code without notifying us, so we sat in the car for several hours with a 12-month old baby until we finally found an available hotel room at 11pm at night. The owners showed up the next morning and let us in, but we were upset and the property wasn't anything like what it said in the listing. The lot is very small and full of trees, many mosquitos and not much light into the home. Not much room to play outside -- the yard was all weeds and cement bags/old paint cans were lying around (not good for kids). There was no deck on the house - it dropped off to ugly dirt. The "short country walk" is not short at all -- you would have to pack everyone in the car and drive to a decent beach since the one they say is available is loaded with greenery and you feel like you're trespassing on someone's property. This was nothing like we expected from the description and not a good place for children. Luckily the owners very tremendously kind and offered a complete refund on site after the debacle with the lock box and different expectations with little ones. We are grateful that the owners refunded our money because we would not recommend that anyone stay there with kids, unless you plan to be out-and-about and simply need a place to sleep. It is not recommended if you want to relax in the yard or if you're having a family reunion at the house.
