We had a great time at the cottage. Close to lake whichis great for all kids. Cottage has everything you need for a great time. Unfortunately the weather wasnt the greatest but it is spacious so our 3 kids had their own space we didnt feel crowded with family of 5.
The owners were very accomodating and always there to help if you needed anything!
We will be going back next year for 2 weeks we hope!
You cant go wrong with this cabin!

This is one of the nicest and most comfortable cabins we have ever stayed in. It is quite decieving from the exterior as far as space goes. It looks smaller than it really is as there is plenty of room for a medium to large sized family. The cabin is located conveniently to shopping and leisure activities as well as very relaxing if you want to just hang out in the yard. We loved the mature trees and the fire pit in the back yard and spent most of our evenings there. The property and cabin are very very clean and pleasant and the owners are wonderful people to meet and know. The interior is decorated nicely and truly gives a person the "up north" feeling which is what we were looking for. I would strongly recommend this rental to anyone looking to have a great vacation in the Roscommon/Higgins Lake area. To Juanita and Dennis - thank you for your kindness and hospitality. We rented this cabin in June 2009. The cabin was very clean and was a nice size. We had our grandchildren for the week and it worked out well. they had their own bedroom as we had ours. The rooms were a good size and they had a great time. The fire pit out side for smoors was great too! We did that a couple of times and they really enjoyed it. The beach was close also. We also received a call from Juanita while we were there to ask if all was o.k. and if we needed anything. That was very thoughful of her and showed she cared about her guest. We would go back again with no problem.

We had a wonderful time in this cozy cabin. It felt like a home away from home. The location was perfect with a very nice and large back yard. All we needed was to stock the fridge because everything else was provided. The bathroom is a very nice size and since it was just me and my husband we only used one bedroom but their is another bedroom large enough for 5. Maybe next time we will bring our grandkids. They would love the fact that the lake is so close . Juanita was an excellent host and the nicest person I have ever talked to. Thank You for allowing us to rent your lovely cabin.

I was one of the ladies who stayed in the cabin for the scrapbooking weekend. It was fabulous! The cabin is exceptionally clean. Dennis and Juanita take great care in the up keep and that is very obviuos. The cabin provided and quaint and cozy atmosphere that made for a relaxing and fun girls weekend. A group of us girl went to the cabin for a scrapbooking weekend and what a great time it was. There was a large group of us that went and we were all very comfortable. We were able to set up some tables and scrap away for the weekend. The Kitchen is very nice and the bathroom is very nice. The bedrooms were perfect and the mattress' were comfortable. There was even a grill there to cook our dinner out on. The cabin is so nice and cozy we would recommend it to anyone for a week or weekend away. A cabin full of memories, I believe is the best cabin to make memories in.

This rental was perfect! We had 6 people total, 2 adults and 4 children - plenty of room for us all. Wonderful to have full kitchen and dining area to be able to cook in. Fire pit out back is really nice as well. Although swimming was a walk away, we opted to go to the South State Park which was only a few minutes drive. Clean, very homey atmosphere with LOTS of space. Everything is there except your food, clothes and towels. The state park is about 1.5 miles away with WiFi, boat rentals and just about everything else. Lots of small local stores for the necesities. The lake is perfect for swimming, fishing, and boating. There were even several open WiFis down the road. Juanita and Dennis are great hosts!

This was our first time visiting Higgins Lake on 8/24/07 through 8/27/07 and we were very impressed. The cottage was incredibly clean, comfortable and convenient and the lake is beautiful. I have rented this location and I am renting again this July. This is the cleanest cabin I have seen at Higgins. The Renters will bend over backwards for you. The bathroom is very large and clean as well as the bedrooms, just have to cross the street to the lake and there is also a nice dock to walk out. Very sandy walk out hardly any rocks.
