Vacation Rental Home Description
Lubec, Maine is at the easternmost point of the USA. On the Bay of Fundy, it has all which that implies: dramatic tides, oceanic birds and mammals (whales come in summer), clean air, brilliant stars, maritime history,and the beauties of the rockbound coast of Maine. People love it for the quiet tree-lined streets, lobster dinners, hiking trails, 4 and more lighthouses in view, and cool temperatures.
At the corner of Spring and Summer Streets, my house is logically called Spring & Summer Downeast Lodgings. It is a white victorian wood framed house with a porch for rocking, a deck for picnics while enjoying an enormous maple tree, and a location which can hardly be better in the heart of Lubec village. One can easily walk to nearly all of Lubec's amenities - supermarket, post office, bank, library, churches, restaurants. The harbor is 2 blocks away. Concerts and musical events are walking distance, too.
The second story of the house has 3 bedrooms (2 each have a double bed and the 3rd has 2 twin beds), a kitchenette and lounges, and a full bath with a deep comfortable tub. There is a second full bath on the ground floor which is accessible to guest. These rooms may be rented as a self-catering apartment or by the room. (That's why I call it a 'B and K' - you prepare your own breakfast and other meals as you wish.)
Linens and off-street parking provided.
The entire house with the living room (bay window, grand piano), dining room (for your Thanksgiving dinner, perhaps), and fully equipped kitchen plus laundry is also available. It would make a great place for someone who wants to write or work on some other type of project. It would also be a wonderful location for a reunion of family or friends.
No smoking. No pets. The house is not yet suitable for young children.
