Vacation Rental Home Description

Oceanfront on the rocky coastline of Maine. Steps right down to the pebble beach from the back yard ( or front yard). All rooms overlook the ocean, watch the comings and goings of the lobster men from the decks, yard or the home. Paddle right from this home, bring your own kayaks or rent them. This is the last real lobster working wharf and village on this island, this is not a tourist village - this is for the working harbor men and women. If paddling please be curteous they make their living this way.
Famous village of Bernard offers the famous Thrustons lobster restaurant - 2 minute walk, a book store, and a posit office as well as many antique and artist stores. Many films have been shot here as well as this village has bee photographed and painted more than any other village in Maine. Come relax in this quaint town yet convneinet to everywhere else on the island. Bike to the famou Bass Habor Lighthouse, or run to it, about 3 mile trip.
Fireplace in the living area and high speed, fenced yard for the dog or kids, and fax and art easel as well for those artistic ones.
This home fills fast, 10 mintues to over 50 miles of carriage traisl for runing, biking or hiking in beatufiul Acadia National Park. Bar Harbor is 10 miles on the other side, where the toursits shops are, for those t-shirts and goodies. Southwest offersfamous Sawyers Market, for grocery shopping downtown, this is 3 miles away.Catch the local bus to go to any side of the island if yu want to park and leave the car. This is offered by LL Bean and in the past has been a free service, this does stop in our famous village of Bernard.
