We have stayed or visited with others at Pian del Rocchio on 3 separate occasions with the first being in 2005, then in 2006 and again last year with plans to return as often as we can. This is a beautiful setting with all the amenities that you could hope for including a large kitchen with full-size refrigerator as well as top of the line appliances including a meat slicer which allowed us to purchase a large piece of proscuitto that we could slice as needed. If you like to cook like we do, then the kitchen is an important feature. There is enough room at the villa for family and friends to spread out both inside and outside. The location is excellent as well being close to Marsciano which has all your shopping and banking needs covered. It is also within easy driving distance of Deruta (beautiful hand-made pottery); Orvieto; Assisi; Spoleto; Perugia; Lake Trasmino and numerous other hill towns. There is so much to see and do in the area. Or, you can relax by the pool and enjoy the tranquility of the view. There are numerous restaurants in the area if you choose to eat out. There are also several restaurants that will prepare you a full dinner which we requested on the day that all our guests were arriving at different times. Our host answered all our questions before we arrived and was available at all times by phone. We highly recommend staying at Pian del Rocchio.
