Vacation Rental Home Description
La Pergola nestles amid luxurious vegetation just off the road which winds its way from Anacapri to the famous Blue Grotto. The shops and restaurants of Anacapri, the attractions of the Blue Grotto(bars, restaurants, sea bathing) are all within walking distance. There is also a bus stop virtually outside the front gate. Nearby, there are the famous ruins of the Roman villa of Damecuta, loved and frequented by the emperor Tiberius.
In front of the studio there is a large, shady terrace with stunning sea views with table and chairs for dining outside and loungers for relaxing while watching the sun sink into the emerald blue sea. This is a detached one-roomed bungalow, tastefully decorated with enchanting sea views from every window.
The island of Capri is probably one of the most stunning islands in the world. It is only quite small and has two main towns, Capri and Anacapri.
It enjoys a wonderful temperate climate and there is always a nice cool breeze blowing off the sea even on the hottest day. There are lots of places to visit, nearly all on foot, as most of the island is pedestrian. This adds to its charm and peace.
Capri is the bigger town, more sophisticated and bustling with its many famous restaurants and designer boutiques.
Anacapri is much quieter, with the atmosphere of a typical Mediterranean village. The Swedish doctor and writer Axel Munthe lived here and his home is a popular museum today. Gracie Fields and Graham Green also chose Anacapri as their residence.
