Once upon a time, there was an upscale, medieval Castle...nestled in 5 acres of enchanted forest, it offers secluded peace and quiet, a perfect romantic getaway! Only 9 miles from Champaign/Urbana and UI campus. Use the only working drawbridge in the USA to cross the moat (fed by gargoyle waterfalls) while a trumpet fanfare plays! ADA accessible, including an oak and brass elevator. Four bedrooms with queen-size beds, 3 full and 2 half baths, full kitchen and laundry priviledges, outdoor grille and firepit (charcoal and firewood provided). Coffee, sodas, bottled water, breakfast goodies and snacks included. Huge 144" tv, hundreds of DVD's and music CD's, two libraries, WiFI, DirecTV. Nature trails, air hockey table, pirate ship, etc. Sorry, no parties and no pets. This is my home, built it myself (took 9 years), so I'm very protective of it. Respectful guests only, please!

Busboom Castle was on HGTV again for the tenth time. The show is called "Home Sweet Castle" from the series "Look What I Did!". It was also featured on PBS "Illinois Stories", station WSEC and in numerous newspapers and magazines.

The senior members of our party thoroughly loved the music and drawbridge lowering upon our arrival. This property was absolutely wonderful for all of us. We were able to have meals at the castle, take walks on the fabulous property, watch movies, play air hockey--you get the picture. I hope we are able to use it again in the future! A group of old college friends came back for the UI homecoming and the Castle was the perfect venue. We were close to Champaign and all the activities there, yet we could drive back to the castle easily and catch up with each other.
