A Luxury Vacation Rental with all the comforts of home, in Princeville, Kauai, Hawaii, one of the most beautiful spots in the world. On the Ocean #1 fairway of the Princeville Makai Golf Course. For three couples on vacation, each has the privacy of their own master bedroom, with cable TV, and also the luxury of a large living area, looking out on golf course, mountains, ocean and waterfalls, to share with family or friends. For extended families, the house accommodates up to about ten. Luxury at a bargain price. Great Value.
Why rent a Princeville Condo for your vacation, when you can have a whole house (over 3000 sq ft) in the Princeville Resort, for less than $100/night/couple?
This Princeville Vacation Rental house is located on the #1 Fairway of the Ocean Nine, Makai Course, in Princeville Kauai, about eight hundred yards from the nearest beach, and walking distance to three great restaurants.
Walk upstairs, winding around a lush tropical atrium, to a large living area. This Princeville, Kauai Vacation Rental house is 3400 sq ft under roof. Enjoy panoramic views of ocean, fairways, mountains and waterfalls. Walk out on one of two lanais, and enjoy fresh tropical evenings as the sun sets behind Bali Hai across Hanalei bay.
("South Pacific" was filmed just down the road.)
In this Princeville Kauai Vacation Rental, there are King size beds in two of the Master Bedroom Suites and two doubles in the third. A daybed in the Living Room. Two futons for extra guests or extra family.
Upstairs, a "great room" (New furnishings) of Living, Dining, and Kitchen areas, with windows all around, and two decks. Gorgeous views of ocean, mountains, waterfalls, and golf course in this beautiful North Shore of Kauai. Directions provided in our own "coffee table book" to all the best Princeville and Hanalei restaurants, Kauai snorkeling beaches and shopping, with sample menus and comments from past guests. A fully equipped kitchen large enough for three cooks to work in harmony, or walk to one of three nearby restaurants in Princeville. Fully equipped with bed, bath and beach towels and linens, beach mats, and a library of paperbacks for that "lie on the couch and do nothing" day. Books and toys for the "little ones". A DVD library of movies made on the Island of Kauai.
You will have use of the Sunset Drive Community Association Recreation Center across the street. This excellent facility includes a clubhouse, swimming pool and tennis court.
Guests say: "It's a beautiful thing when a place lives up to its billing" (The Nickels, Denver, Colorado). We have been told many times by our guests that it feels like home, not like a vacation rental, and that has been our goal.

Villa Rentals Reviews for Three Master Bedroom Fairway Home in PrincevilleDecember 11, 2011Owner-Supplied Testimonial
"On a scale of ten; Hale Kipa is an eleven." September 23, 2011Reviewer: Judy From: Winnipeg, Manitoba
This was a wonderful vacation home for 6 adults and 2 children. Three master bedrooms and three full bathrooms was a plus. The home was well equipped with life jackets, boogies boards, coolers, etc. The location was quiet and peaceful with the mountains in the distance. August 11, 2011Reviewer: MonicaOur family of seven ranging from ages 22-87 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house layout was perfect for gathering together and finding areas for privacy. The cross breezes and views in all directions made our time spent at the house a pleasure. Location was great for exploring the island. December 07, 2010Reviewer: Bob Salkeld From: LA, CA
We four adults rented Hale Kipa for 10 wonderful September 13, 2010Owner-Supplied TestimonialWe loved your house! It was clean and ready for us. The designer of the house really did a wonderful job of using the prevailing winds to an advantage. It made the humidity disappear....... Thanks so much for sharing! August 25, 2010Reviewer: Gloria T. From: /Granite Bay, CaliforniaBeutifully appointed. Captured the trade winds on a morning and afternoon lanai. (excellent Architecture)Terrific views of the golf course and waterfalls/mts. Pleasant walk to Princeville and Bali Hai Resort/Beach (and St. Regis Beach Club). Rarely used the car. There was something for everybody; golf, hiking, snorkeling, swimming, relaxing/reading, social scene, tennis...a great get-away. Good family reunion home-3 Bedroom suites.I recommend it. (thanks to our predecessor-it was well stocked!) July 12, 2010Owner-Supplied TestimonialI've misplaced the questionnaire you sent about our stay, but I'd like to tell you we enjoyed our stay very much. Your home was perfect for us and my two boys and their families. The house was clean, nicely furnished and well provisioned. I was particularly pleased with all the items in the pantry. We stopped at Costco in Lihue, but were reluctant to buy the large sizes of some items. So we were happy to find many things in the pantry and good supply of paper products. I think your pantry came out a little ahead after our visit. If so, we were happy to make the donation. It was worth the convenience. November 14, 2009Owner-Supplied TestimonialHank, your accommodations were great for us. The place is well taken care of and designed for group like ours (6). Nine others were staying at the Westin and twice we had the whole bunch over for meals and it was perfect! Everyone who saw the place had positive comments. We have no plans for returning at this point but be assured – if we return we will contact you. Thanks for a great stay. October 05, 2009Reviewer: Dick Mound From: Ruidoso. NMThere were six of us , and we thought the house was very elequent. It was stocked with everything you would need to do in the water. The house was beautiful and in very good shape. The outlay of the rooms afford a great view of the area and of Bali High from the living quarters, with the bedrooms on the bottom floor. August 18, 2009Owner-Supplied TestimonialAnother great stay! We aren’t sure of our plans for the coming year, so we won’t book now. Thanks. June 25, 2009Owner-Supplied TestimonialReally appreciated the beach toys & well stocked kitchen. Thank you! June 16, 2009Reviewer: Dayna Riley From: The Woodlands, TXWe recently rented this beautiful home for a family vacation and found it perfect for our large group of 9. The kitchen is fully stocked with salt/pepper, spices, flour, sugar, condiments, and even paper goods. This is different than most Kauai rentals where you have to purchase everything. The location is central to everything you need to do on the North Shore - you can walk to sunset at the end of the road, walk to sunrise at the hotel across the way and walk to three beaches just in the neighborhood. The house is cool and comfortable even during the heat of the day, and the fans you have in the bedrooms helped keep us cool at night. Thanks again for a wonderful experience. May 31, 2009Reviewer: Michael Roberts From: The Woodlands, TXCaptain Drayton, my friends the Rileys and the Dobsons had your place a few weeks and upon arrival of the rest of the group, a few went to other rental properties. Nothing compares to Hale Kipa. Everyone compared their new digs to yours and the most often comment was, "Hale Kipa feels like home." When I arrived and went upstairs, I truly felt like I was home. As always, Rick is close by and a huge help if needed. January 13, 2008Owner-Supplied Testimonial
The holidays are over and I wanted to take a brief moment to write to you and let you know how much we enjoyed our week at your house Hale Kipa. It was almost like being at home. Our kids and grandkids loved it. And everyone was trying to figure out how to smuggle those football sized avocados home. Instead we tried to eat every one off the trees (impossible) they were delicious, the house was grand and I think you had just about everything in stock. 1 item was a spaghetti scoop, I didn’t find one or I would have bought it for the kitchen . A very comfortable place. We will definitely make this a must do again. We had a wonderful Christmas Eve luau and my grandchildren were mesmerized by the fire dancers. And of course they lived on the beach every day of our vacation. We did drive south and visit your Grand Canyon and stopped and ate in some out of the way places, we were treated like royalty. This was a welcome relaxed vacation for all of us, with our son in medical school and his wife in charge of the 4 little ones almost 24-7, she really needed some down time. Even our little 1 yr. old learn to walk alone on this trip, so as I have stated it made many great memories for our family. November 04, 2007Reviewer: Eileen & George Haynes From: Cambridge, NY
We certainly appreciated the use of your lovely home in Kauai. We plan a yearly trip with my sister and her family, and this one was our best yet. The comfort and convenience of Hale Kipa made our trip very special. August 18, 2007Reviewer: Rick Schellenberg From: Surrey, BCVery enjoyable 2-week stay! The golf course setting (and nice big yard) is beautiful and there is so much to do in the Princeville/Hanalei area. Highlights were Ke'e Beach, Backdoor Beach and Queen's Bath. And going for evening walks to Lappert's Ice Cream. Great accomodations for our large group (3 families & 11 people). The downstairs bedrooms were very comfortable and pleasant. April 13, 2007Reviewer: David & Donna Lee From: Santa Rosa, Ca.The most comfortable home we have ever stayed at for a vacation. Great living area upstairs with 360 degree views. Great location. close to great beaches and hiking, plus golf. April 08, 2007Reviewer: Bruce Greco From: Flagstaff, AZWe had an awesome vacation with our family at Princeville, and our stay at Hale Kipa still is the #1 topic at our dinner table. It was the perfect setting and your home was the best "base camp" for all our adventures. Thanks again for making it available for us to enjoy....we're planning our return trip! May 25, 2006Owner-Supplied Testimonial
We have just spent some time making improvements at Hale Kipa, and copied the comments below from the "Coffee Table Book" we leave in the house. July 28, 2005Reviewer: Dick & Tove Lockhart From: Des Moines. WAWe had 2 couples from Norway coming to Hawaii with us this year. We found your house on the internet, and it looked like the perfect solution for us. We could not have been more correct! The place was fabulous. If we return with more than just ourselves, we will be interested in staying there again. Mahalo and aloha. June 09, 2005Reviewer: Michael Roberts From: Houston, Texas
Captain Drayton, March 24, 2005Owner-Supplied Testimonial
Thank You Mr. Drayton. December 28, 2004Reviewer: Tom and Ruth Nakai From: Centennial, Colorado
Our December 2004 trip was our third time at Hale Kipa. The fact that we, and others, keep coming back to the same vacation home over and over again, attests to the fact that it's a very comfortable, familiar, wonderful place to relax and really enjoy close friend's company. Hale Kipa is like our second home on our favorite island. From a former kamaiina, mahalo! September 13, 2004Reviewer: SANDY BROWN From: WILMINGTON, DECAPT. DRAYTON, MY HUSBAND & I TOOK MY DAUGHTER,SON-IN-LAW & HIS PARENTS ON THEIR FIRST TRIP TO HAWAII! WE COULDN'T HAVE HAD A MORE WONDERFUL TIME AT YOUR BEAUTIFUL HOME! THIS WAS ABOUT OUR 4TH TIME (I THINK) TO RENT YOUR HOME, AND WE WILL CERTAINLY DO IT AGAIN ON OUR NEXT TRIP TO KAUAI! YOUR ACCOMMODATIONS ARE TERRIFIC! MAHALO AND ALOHA!! August 16, 2004Reviewer: Pete LoPresti From: Westcliffe, ColoradoNothing is perfect, but Hale Kipa is close. The roominess and setting was perfect for our family of 10, including four grandchildren ages 7,4,3, and 1. Everything we could have thought of was available; It was like we lived there. May 06, 2004Reviewer: Katrina Lee From: Avalon, Catalina Island
Hank, April 04, 2004Reviewer: Camilla Mann From: Seaside, CaliforniaWe rented Hale Kipa for two weeks. What a perfect choice for a family reunion! So roomy, so comfortable, absolutely wonderful. It was so much more than we expected...a nice treat. "House of Hospitality" is an apt name. We will be back soon! Mahalo plenty! March 16, 2004Reviewer: Mike Collyer From: Bothell, WA
