My wife and I stayed at Wailua Bay View #204 for
6 wonderfully relaxing nights. The condo was
very comfortable, spacious and included all the
items we look for when traveling, to include
cooking and dining items, a very comfortable bed,
nice bathroom with plenty of towels and
conveniently located (beach, coffee shop,
restaurants, gift shopping and grocery stores).

The view from the balcony, living room and
kitchen was spectacular and this condo is
approximately 1-mile from two major grocery
stores. We snorkeled at the beach right in front of
the condo and I was very happy to have seen a
sea turtle during that time.

My wife and I would enjoy staying at this condo
again and we are happy to give it our strongest,
positive feedback and recommendation for others.

We stayed at WBV 204 for 8 days in December and
had a fantastic experience. The condo is a perfect
location for exploring the island and even better
for relaxing close to home- sitting on the balcony
enjoying the view and sounds of the waves below,
heading down the pool or the beach. Everything
you need to enjoy your vacation is at your finger
tips and the condo is in great shape. Everything is
as it looks in the pictures.

Chuck provides lots of info on his site for things
to do and explore as well. You're all set to enjoy
the beauty of the island.

We stayed in Wailua Bay View 204 for a little over
a week and it was wonderful! The view is
beautiful and being able to listen to the ocean
waves was so soothing. We really liked that this
was located about halfway between the northern
most and southernmost part of the island. It
made it really easy to get around and see
everything we wanted to see. The street noise
was a little loud at times, but the positives far
outweigh the negatives
for this property. We were extremely pleased and
we would definitely stay there again! It was a
wonderful trip and this condo was a fantastic
home away from home for us.

We had a great stay at Wailua Bay View
204. The unit was in excellent condition
with updated furnishings and a fully
stocked kitchen. Breezes off the bay
kept temperatures more than comfortable
and brought the sound of waves crashing
right into the apartment. We enjoyed the
convenient location (easy access in all
directions and to groceries) and the
handy washer-dryer. We also enjoyed the
beach chairs, snorkeling equipment, and
beach towels. And the on-site staff
could not have been more helpful during
our stay.

We saw only two areas for improvement:
(1) the large kitchen knives were dull
(leading to a comical attempt to cut a
whole squid) and (2) the bathroom has a
slatted rather than solid door, leaving
users with only a jet-engine-volume fan
to create privacy. But these were minor:
overall, a great stay!

Wailua Bay View #204. Awesome views from the condo. Free internet! Fully stocked kitchen was wonderful. Mahalo Chuck you are fun to work with. We will return to your unit #204

We just completed our stay at Wailua Bay View #204. Everything was just as advertised. Great view. Condo was nice inside and out with all of the amenities. We sat on the lanai overlooking the beach and had our breakfast and then a cold beverage in mid-afternoon. Extra items for the beach also, coolers, board, etc. came in handy too. Would definitely in this room again.

This property is very well equipped, easy
to access, very clean and updated. Bed is
very comfortable. View is fantastic.
Bedroom is air conditioned and at times I
wish the rest of the room was. I would
stay again in a heart beat.

I stayed in Wailua Bay View #204. We really enjoyed
our stay here. The ocean front view was amazing.
My wife and I spent quite a few days at different
beaches. The condo had all the beach supplies we
needed: towels, umbrellas, coolers, chairs, etc... This
made going to the beach a lot more fun and
convenient.

The place is air conditioned and had laundry. With all
the outdoor activities we used the laundry quite a bit.

The condo is close to everything. There are many
restaurants, beaches and grocery stores nearby. If
you decide you want to drive to either south shore or
north shore the condo is conveniently located
between the two.

Our stay in Kauai was absolutely incredible, but
being able to come home every night to the
beautiful lanai view from Wailua Bay View #204
made it all the better. Not only was this condo
incredibly well maintained with clean, open, airy
rooms, but we had everything (including snorkel
gear, coolers, beach towels and beach chairs) we
could imagine available for our use. Our days were
definitely full (and easily accessible from the
condo's central location on the east side of the
island), and it was always such a relief to know we
could come home after our busy days to open the
lanai and just unwind.

Noise from the main road was definitely not a
problem as we just opened the lanai doors at night
to hear the waves roaring and turned on the air
conditioning in the bedroom when we went to
sleep.

Tons of restaurants are nearby (particularly the
famous Brick Oven Pizza across the street!) and a
grocery store is less than a mile down the road.
Honestly, there was absolutely nothing else we
could have asked for.

We would highly, highly recommend staying at
Chuck's condo in Kauai and greatly appreciated all
the island info he sent prior to our departure.
Staying at his place provided us a wonderful home
base for what proved to be the best vacation of our
lives!
June 30, 2013 Anonymous
Ditto previous positive comments WBV 204. Unit was very comfortable and the view is outstanding. Fortunately, the adjacent road work was completed after our second day. The bed was very comfortable. minor problems were a sticky bathroom door, sticky sliding screens to lanai and a noisy AC in the bedroom. The rental process was simple. Check in was seamless.
May 19, 2013 Bonnie and Dave Littleton, CO
We enjoyed our stay in WBV 204. The
location is perfect - it's halfway
between either end of the island, which
is very convenient when going to Waimea
Canyon, Ke'e Beach or the NaPali
trailhead. Across the street from the
condo you'll find a great bakery as well
as a Japanese restaurant. The kitchen is
well appointed. We ate in most of the
time. Wal-Mart is not that far away.
Costco is also nearby and it has a
wonderful selection of fresh, local
seafood.

The Bike/Pedestrian pathway is a hop and
a skip away. Great for walking off those
Mai Tai's while taking in the wonderful
scenery. For those less adventurous
souls, just hang out on the lanai for
some wonderful viewing. Perhaps you'll
see turtles frolicking a few feet away
just off shore. We were also fortunate
enough to see whales most every day,
which surprised us as it was at the very
end of whale season.

Chuck was always on top of things and
wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay.
The front office staff was extremely
helpful and always pleasant to work
with. The wireless connection came in
very handy when scoping out things to
do. We recommend this condo very highly.
We'll be back!
May 16, 2013 C & B Martin Fort Worth, TX
We very much enjoyed our stay in WBV #204.
The condo is really clean, well- organized , and
with a lovely view from the lanai. Chuck worked
with us well. Condo is in fine location for travel
north or south. Try the bakery right across the
street! We'd stay there again. By the way, office
has lots of books, if you want a good beach/lanai
read. Just borrow one.

We stayed at Wailua Bay View 204 for 12 days from April 9 to April 20, 2013. The unit was very comfortable, clean, and well equipped. We especially liked the view from the Lanai. This unit is centrally located and provides convenient access to both the north and south shore of Kauai. The owner, Chuck Ashton, is very easy to work with and provides a compilation of sites to visit complete with photos. We found this very helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
April 21, 2013 John & Jane McCall Goffstown, NH
Wonderful central location in Kauai, making it very easy to get to all attractions/sights on entire island. Fully appointed, ell equiped kitchen is a real plus, helping to cut down on the amount having to eat out. Great view. Very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Recently we stayed in WB #204.Very Centrally located in the middle of Kauai.Within steps to the Beach.Very clean ,and ALL the amenities you could want in a Vacation Condo. The owner,Chuck, makes things very easy and provides links to various attractions on the island. Will definitely stay here the next trip to Kauai.

We stayed in WBV 204 in March. We enjoyed the
central location and the view from the condo. The unit
was well kept and met our expectations in every way.
March 21, 2013 Amanda Vancouver BC
Wailua Bay View 204 was everything we hoped it
would be. Beautiful view, excellent condo
amenities, walking distance to restaurants, and
excellent adventures nearby. I particularly enjoyed
running along the water starting from the 2nd
beach access path down the road. The residents
of Wailua Bay View were very friendly. We would
love to return again some day. We totally
recommend kayaking up the river nearby; there is
a beautiful waterfall picnic spot.
February 16, 2013 Darryl Huismann Santa Rosa, Ca
WBV Unit 204 was a delightful condo and was exactly
as presented on the VRBO site. We loved the location
and the fabulous view.
February 9, 2013 Anonymous Andover, MA
Wailua Bay 204 was extremely comfortable, clean, and
beautifully equipped. Everything needed for cooking
was there and more. The decor is attractive and the
view is spectacular. The location is a convenient one
for exploring the island. The roar of the surf drowns
out the noise from the adjacent road.
January 24, 2013 Kim Snohomish WA
WBV #204 was all Chuck had claimed it to be.
The updated appliances and stonework were beautiful.
We could hear and see the waves at all times, including whales!! The beach access was a bit inconvenient but private and calm when you got down there. I must say the beach area was A+!
We didn't eat out once. There was a fresh fish market in Lihue and we grilled by the pool every night.
The bed was just like home and we really appreciated the flat-screen TVs and wireless access.
The condo location was perfect -- with day trips up and down isle.
We rented kayaks for the river and it was just down the street.
We also stayed in Poipu and the state park while were on Kauai. We definitly will come back to Chuck's place. He was easy to work with and helpful.
October 13, 2012 Jon Seattle, WA
This condo was the perfect base for our trip to Kauai.
The condo is located in the center of the east coast of
Kauai, which is ideal for day trips either to the south
or to the north. It’s a few minutes south of the town
of Kapaa, which is large enough to have a couple of
full grocery stores and a large selection of
restaurants, yet small enough to explore on foot.

Wailua Bay itself is a nice, uncrowded beach, used
mostly by locals for fishing and body boarding. We
swam there often with no issues – it’s a very short
walk from the condo.

The condo was very clean and fully equipped. The
bedroom contained a queen bed, large dresser and a
closet with plenty of hangers - lots of room to
unpack and store your clothes. There was a supply of
towels (beach and bath), extra linens and even
detergent for the stackable washer and dryer – which
to my surprise, were actually a good size and did a
decent load of laundry.

The bathroom was a little on the small side, but
perfectly adequate. There was storage in the vanity
and medicine cabinet, which helped keep the counter
space clear. There is a shower (no tub) and one sink.
I should also note that the whole condo has recently
been renovated, so all the fixtures, counters, cabinets
and appliances are new.

There’s a good chance that the kitchen is better
equipped than your own. Everything you need is
here; full fridge with ice maker, microwave, coffee
maker, full stove, dishwasher, pots and pans, dishes,
glasses, silverware, even a rice maker and blender.
Martha Stewart would want for nothing.

The living room was nicely furnished, but to be
honest, we really didn’t spend a great deal of time in
this room. Instead we just headed out to the
wonderful lanai, which is where we ate our meals,
drank our mai tai’s, and enjoyed the view.

In closing, there’s no need to post a bunch of photos
as the one’s posted by the owner, Chuck, are exactly
what you’ll find. Chuck was always quick to respond
and very easy to work with.

We spent 10 awesome days this summer at #204. The condo is bigger in person than it shows in the pictures and it’s in the perfect central location on the island for sight seeing. This unit had everything we needed including beach towels, snorkel equipment, ice chest and a washer and dryer. The view of the ocean was fabulous! I spent every morning as the sun rose on the lanai reading Princess Ka’iulani Hope of a Nation, Heart of a People. The beach was easily accessed and there were great places to eat close by. While you are on the island you should eat as many hamburgers and steaks as you can. The grass fed beef is out of this world! Buy fresh fruit and flowers for the condo at a local farmers market (they are all listed in the binder in the condo). The information in the binder also helped us locate a doctor when my husband got sick. Thanks Chuck for the info binder, it’s a great resource for your guest. There is also a DVD that shows you highlights of Kauai and the other islands and a guide book to use while you are there. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to the island. Maholo Chuck from one Texan to another for sharing your piece of paradise with us.
Our favorite eating places on the island…..
Brick Oven Pizza (across the street)
Eggbert's (in the Coconut market by the Hula girl sign - The best omelets we have ever had)
Hukilau Lanai (by the Coconut market – The best calamari on the island)
Olympic Cafe (Great food and good happy hour specials)
Puka dogs in the Poipu Shopping Village (My favorite dog was a spicy Polish sausage with Lilikoi Mustard and Pineapple relish)
Keoki’s Paradise in the Poipu Shopping Village (try the hula pie)
Wrangler's Steakhouse
JJ’s Hawiian BBQ
You must try a Shave Ice with coconut ice cream.
If you play golf you must play at the $9.00 golf course. Yes, you read that correct I said $9.00 to play 9 holes and $9.00 to rent clubs and $9.00 to rent a cart for a total of $27.00. Kukuiolono golf course. 854 Puu Road in Kalaheo.

If you happen to be on the island on July 3rd the US Navy opens the missile range for a great fireworks show that’s a must see!

My husband and I really enjoyed the Wailua Bay
View #204. The condo was just as shown and
described, and the rental process was very easy!
Chuck was great about keeping in touch with us!
The view was just beautiful!!! It was a good location
to go to both the north and the south shores! It
was our first trip to Kauai, and we will definitely be
back!
July 4, 2012 Wayne & Mary Missouri City, Texas
We first stayed at this property in 2010 after finding it online and in the Kauai Guidebook. The reviews were good so we contacted the owner to see if it was available and spent 8 days here in June 2010.

We returned for a two week stay in June 2012. We love the updated kitchen and bathroom and the A/C in the bedroom was nice at night when we slept. Two TVs, and internet connection, beach supplies on the lanai, everything you need to enjoy your vacation was supplied. The louvered windows kept everything cool when we were relaxing in the condo and were easy to close when we left for the day. The pool was clean and we used it a lot in the evenings. They also have a grill by the pool; although we did not want to cook with so many dining options on the island. Yes, there is a Shell station across the street but it's convenient, especially to fuel the rental before heading back to the airport. We highly recommend WBV Unit #204.
February 20, 2012 Anonymous Puyallup, WA
We spent 5 days at Wailua Bay #204 and enjoyed our stay. The location is a huge plus, easy 1 hour drives to west and north shore destinations. The view of Wailua Beach from the deck is a picture postcard and we enjoyed watching the daily fishing activity and the pretty Japanese white eye birds in the palm trees. There was some road noise and a couple roosters, but these did not disturb us from sleep. We appreciated the beach mats and swim fins, as well as Chuck's many online suggestions for places to explore and watch sunsets. The condo was very clean and well appointed, the granite in kitchen & bath is beautiful. Our only suggested improvements would be for a firmer mattress and a solid bathroom door instead of the slatted, folding door (or atleast add a knob on the inside for easier closing.) All in all we would highly recommend, and thank you Chuck for sharing your condo and making the booking process a breeze!
February 10, 2012 P and J Port Coquitlam, BC
We spent 7 nights in #204 Wailua Bay View Condos in January, based on Tripadvisor reviews. The booking process was easy, and (owner) Chuck provided lots of info on things to see and do. Unit was modern, bright and clean, and with the same beautiful view the photos had indicated. We loved the sound of the ocean and watching sunrises from the lanai or the beach. Yes, it is a minutes walk along the highway shoulder to the beach but it was not a big issue. Wailua Bay was too rough for swimming but was a great place to watch the sun rise or just relax. The condo’s location was great for exploring to the north and south. It was all that we expected and I would recommend it.
Pros were the adjustable shower, the comfy bed, and the icemaker - perfect for packing our lunches and drinks. We used the beach chairs, mats, and coolers. We never needed the A/C – opening the sliding door to the lanai and turning on the two fans kept it perfect. Condo had “The Ultimate Kauai Guidebook” which we used constantly. We enjoyed several restaurants within walking distance - Monico’s, Brick Oven Pizza and TC’s Island Grill. There is a Shell station and highway traffic close by but any noise didn’t disrupt our sleep. This was our first trip to Kauai and it is such a beautiful, lush and tropical island, with gorgeous beaches, waterfalls, lookouts, etc. Waimea Canyon is a must see, and absolutely the Na Pali coast, which we saw on a sunset dinner cruise. It was spectacular and the highlight of our trip.
There are a few things we didn’t get to do, and I look forward to another trip to Kauai in the future.

The condo had a great view and was right on the beach. Very pleased with the accomadations.

My husband and I stayed in WBV #204 for our honeymoon (May 2011) and couldn't have been happier! The booking process was easy and Chuck even sent us informational links to hikes and activities to do while on the island. The condo itself was exceptional. Clean, comfortable, quiet and right on the beach. We loved getting up early to sit on the lanai to eat breakfast and watch the sunrise. The location of this condo is also in the center of everything -- which made driving to/from our destinations quick and easy. We will definitely stay here again -- it was everything we hoped for...and more!
April 22, 2011 Sylvia California
I was lucky enough to stay an entire month in
Chuck's beautiful condo. The condo is exactly as
described. The views are gorgeous and the sound
of the waves can be heard throughout the condo,
which makes for the most relaxing ambiance. The
condo was well appointed - and all was in very
good condition. The location of the condo is very
convenient ... with a great variety of shops and
restaurants nearby. It is also not far from the East
Shore bike path, which I really came to enjoy during
my stay. Chuck made the entire rental process a
breeze ... all was well prepared and organized, the
various tips Chuck provided were tremendously
helpful and Chuck's responsiveness/communication
throughout it all was exceptional. I can recommend
this condo without hesitation and cannot wait to
return myself.
April 21, 2011 Leah Langley, B.C.
The view from the lanai is exactley as represented, exceptionally beautiful. We were able to watch whales go by in the distand and enjoy a lovely afternoon breeze. The condo is very central to the island, and Chuck was a delight to deal with, and his information very detailed and easy to follow. Upon checking in everything was really low key and easy. If you are sensitive to roosters just bring ear plugs as you hear them frequently. I used them and slept very well, as the bed is quite comfortable to sleep in. I would highly recommend staying in the condo!
January 9, 2011 Anonymous Denver, Colorado
Aloha Chuck. We had lot of fun in Kauai. There were definitely better and more beaches in Kauai that other places (including Maui) that we've visited. There is a feeling of peace, entering your condo. Its very nice and clean , Kitchen is spacious, flat screen TV and DVD actually worked (since I love to also watch movies during my vacation :-) ). We even used your beach mats, foot flaps for snorkeling. Most importantly your condo is SO CENTRALLY located. You can pretty much find anything you want near your condo. We are Vegeterians and there was Ample of vegeterian options for us. A gas station and Mexican restaurant right across the street that you could walk to. Other good point on location is that, because of the central location we were able to visit the South and West side couple of days and then the North shore another time. Walmart and Airport are also abt 15 to 20 min away. The pleasant breeze and the sound of the ocean in your condo was so relaxing, that we will definitely be visiting and staying in your condo during our next visit. We will definitely be recommending WBV 204 to our friends.
Another thing I wanted to mention. This was our first trip to Hawai'i (and Kauai). In our initial reservation I had messed up on the dates of arrival and departure. But upon bringing this to Chuck's attention he was very nice to work through this and changed the dates for us without any fuss. Thanks Chuck.
December 11, 2010 Anonymous St Johnsbury, Vermont
We had a truly great vacation in Kauai with the help of the Condo owners tips on things to do, places to see and restaurants to eat at. Chuck was really pleasant to deal with, concerned that everything was right for our visit and checking after our vacation for feedback to make sure that all was well for the next guests.
Wailua Bay View 204 is the perfect Condo for a couple wanting to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Kauai. The facilities in both the Condo and complex are first class and the view and sunrises over Wailua Bay are truly spectacular.
We have no reservations in recommending this Condo to any couple who plan to visit Kauai.
June 6, 2010 Jane Koerth Port Neches, Texas
Aloha, Chuck……don’t even know where to start about our visit to your condo and Kauai…..the most wonderful place on this earth. I’m guessing it must be right before you enter Heaven because Heaven is the ultimate and this beautiful island was absolutely gorgeous. We followed many of your suggestions and I had the Ultimate Guide to Kauai that I spent many months planning from. The condo was excellent and we enjoyed having so much room. The view was excellent and nothing really bothered us including the roosters. In fact, we only heard them occasionally. The beach below had many locals but they weren’t loud and we enjoyed watching them. We enjoyed our heli ride through Blue Hawaiian and the Smith Luau. We traveled to many of the beaches, Waimea Canyon, etc. Having our GPS was really helpful. We enjoyed visiting with Fred, the condo manager . He was so friendly and out going. We gave him our left over bread, cheese, etc. Having the ice chest and other equipment was great. We did buy another noodle at Walmart and left it on the lanai. Wish we would have stayed longer…..but all good things must come to an end. We ended leaving around 10:30 or 10:45 because of our flight. The housekeeper had called the night before and asked if we would start a load of clothes for her and I told her everything would be washed and it was. We cooked and made sandwiches frequently and just washed and dried as we went so we didn’t even use the dishwasher. A beautiful place and I plan on telling a travel agent that we are friends with about your condo so hopefully you will get some referrals……thanks again so very much……..Jane
Someday we hope to return......also, Chuck was wonderful to work with, couldn't have been more pleased

We spent 2 wonderful weeks in Kauai in #204. The unit has been recently updated and is very nice. The kitchen has granite counters and new appliances. The location makes it easy to go anywhere on the island. The view from the lanai was fantastic. The owner is also great. He sent us all kinds of info on places to see and great places to eat. I plan on staying there next time I visit Kauai.

We spent three lovely weeks on Kauai, in unit #204.
Chuck sent me a lot of information and photos about the island which was very helpful. The condo was very clean when we arrived and the appliances were all brand new and in great working order. I did wish that we had a large frying pan and cutting boards in the unit.
I liked watching and listening to the roosters; I especially liked watching a whole brood of chickens grow up in front of us!
The condo is very well situated on the island and I encourage everyone to go one day.

From the beginning, we lovingly referred to Chuck as Aloha Chuck. He lived up to the name, the Aloha Spirit and then some!

From my first question to the final booking, Chuck was super friendly, professional and a pleasure (nice and easy) to work with. His condo was clean, the perfect size, with a well equipped kitchen but most importantly, I must mention the view. The breathtaking view that you see in pictures is indeed the view from this very condo.
Every morning with the sunrise, and the evening with the stars will be etched in our memories for a very long time. The sound of the ocean crashing on the shore-the palm trees, all of it, totally blissful. Mmmm :)

The condo's location was perfect for us! We road tripped the entire time we were there and used Chuck's list of hikes, etc as guidelines. Thank you Chuck.

Also, we are strict vegetarians and found it very easy to find good food.

Just an FYI: There are lots of roosters so if you're sensitive to the cock-a-doodle dooing, bring ear plugs - we did, and I used them!

Upon our return I promptly received my security deposit-I would highly recommend this condo and Kauai!

Thank you.

I echo all previous comments; the unit was exceptionally clean upon arrival, and was well-appointed with everything we needed. The only drawback is that this unit's bedroom is close to the road and a 24-hour gas station, which made for some noisy nights.

Homeowner Response: The Shell station is actually on the other end of the complex. I am sorry that the noise was an incovenience. I have found that if the shutters are closed tight in the evenings, all you will hear is the ocean from the lanai.

My fiance and I stayed in Wailua Bay View unit 204 in September/October of 2009 and it was absolutely heavenly. We got married on the island and this was the perfect place for a couple to have as home base. The view from the lanai and the sound of the ocean was so relaxing. We fell in love with it immediately. The unit was very clean and well stocked with necessities, such as an iron and hair dryer. We were glad not to have to pack these items. The kitchen and bathroom have been updated and are very plush. The booking process was smooth and the owner of the unit was a pleasure to deal with. Plus, he gave us great tips for enjoying the island. We loved this place and would certainly enjoy staying there again.

My husband and I spent a week at Wailua Bay View #204 in September. All of the website pictures for this condo are accurate. It's a well maintained, clean and comfortable condo. The beautiful kitchen is equipped for just about any type of cooking you might care to do. The furniture is very comfortable. We enjoyed the flat screen tv and used the free internet everyday to stay in touch with our families back home. It was also nice having free local calls to book our excursions. Having a washer & dryer in the unit came in handy. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and watching the surfers. This unit has a great view of the beach.

The central location in Kapa'a is perfect for exploring the island. Several very good restaurants are right nearby. And the Safeway grocery store is only a mile or 2 up the road.

The complex itself is very well kept and the pool area is clean and inviting. During our stay it was very peacefull and quiet.

I'd highly recommend this condo to anyone traveling to Kauai.

We stayed at the Wailua Bay View for six weeks. We were amazed by the beautiful view of the ocean and the constant sound of the waves. During the first weeks we always had our meals on the balcony. The kitchen - which has absolutely everything you might need - was just the place to prepare amazing fish dinners or just a couple of sandwiches.

The beach supplies (ice chests, beach mats and body boards) were a nice touch and made it easy for us to enjoy the most beautiful beaches all day long.

We used the internet quite often to get some work done and everything worked just fine.

The condo is very clean, the furniture is comfy and new, it was truely a home awy form home for us.

We liked the proximity to our favourite stores (Safeway in Kapaa) and to our favourite restaurants (Brick Oven Pizza, Monicos, Kintaro, Cafe Coco and Tutus Soup Hale are within easy walking distance.)

You can walk to the beach directly in front of the house but we preferred to drice to more secluded beaches and explore the island. (Most people do)

We highly recommend Wailua Bay view. The complex is well maintained, the manager Fred greted us every morning and kept us up to date about the weather. The pool is also nice for a quick swim.

Recently stayed in Wailua Bay Condo #204 (June 20-23).
The condo was clean and well furnished. The view of the ocean and beach was great. There were beach accessories for our use...that was nice. Easy drive to both the south and north side of the island and conviently located 10 minutes from the the airport. Direct beach access would be an added plus. Received deposit refund within 2 weeks.
We really enjoyed our stay in Kauai.

Just returned from two weeks in Kauai. Stayed in Unit 204 and it is beautiful. Nicely appointed with many amenities. Water toys, etc. are a nice touch. Very nice central location with easy access to shops, eateries, beach, and hiking trails. Chuck has provided nice links to various trails...but I would recommend hiking sticks and good waterproof boots for all hikes. Red clay soil on Kauai becomes very slippery when wet. Great value, great location!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in Wailua Bay View #204 for the first three nights of our stay on Kauai. It is such a beautiful unit in such a beautiful setting. We regret that we did not book it for our entire two weeks on the island. We had family staying in Princeville, paying twice what we were paying and not having nearly the same quality of lodging. We hope to return to Kauai in the future, and will certainly request #204.

We spent a month unit 204 Wailua Bay View and are booking to do the same again next year. The unit is newly remodeled and is easy to live in and maintain even for a long visit. The floors in the hall and kitchen are wood and there is tile in the bath. There is always a nice breeze when you want it which keeps the unit fresh. There is a manager on location who is very helpful should you have any problems. The view is wonderful and ever changing with the tides and weather shifts. We got some wonderful pictures. When the bay is calm it is a great place to snorkel and swim with all kinds of fish and even some turtles. We highly recommend it-the owners are great to work with. Aloha

My wife and stayed at Wailua Bay View #204 for a couple of weeks around Christmas and had an absolutely wonderful time. The view and sound of the ocean are awesome and the location is really convenient. Can get to just about anywhere on the island from Wailua Bay. Chuck was really easy to work with and had a lot of great suggestions for activities and restaurants. Condo was really clean, newly renovated, and the kitchen has just about everything you need. We had such a great time we extended a couple of extra days.

My husband and I stayed in #204 at the Wailua Bayview for 5 nights. It has a beautiful view, a lovely new kitchen and is very centrally located to the rest of the island. If there was any drawback it was that it is 'centrally' located and not in the quietest of locations. However we enjoyed wine and fresh fish every night on the lanai and slept like babies with the air conditioning. Chuck, the owner, is very helpful and accomadating. The condo was well worth the price.

We spent 10 days in Wailua Bay View # 204. We had an AWESOME visit. The view, beach, central location and accomodations were exactly what we were looking for. Chuck sends a great web link with tips to make the most of your stay in Kauai. We'd definitely stay again.

I was unsure on where to stay and which condo to stay in. After reading a book on Kauai and then reading the reviews on TripAdvisor, we couldn't have stayed anywhere better! In fact, we have been to Kauai and the Hawaiian islands over 15 times in the past 20 years and this condo was by far the best experience we have ever had on a budget. I know some would say it's no Grand Hyatt but we didn't pay $500 a night either and had a lot more room. The condo was beautiful and had an amazing view. It had everything and the owner Chuck was very helpful on suggestions even though we thought we had everything figured out.
We won't stay anywhere else now. The condo is centrally located and we saved so much time instead of having to commute from Poipu like last time.

Just got back from our Kauai Trip and it was great. We stayed 6 nights in #204. The unit was clean, nicely remodeled. We loved the A/C in the bedroom. There is plasma TV with DVD player in the living room, which my husband loved. The owner Chuck had a cooler, snorkel fins, lawn chairs, beach mats and etc.,if you need to use during your stay. Awesome view of the ocean and nearby beach. Great central location to view the island. Also plenty of eating and shopping within walking distance from Condo. Stayed on the North Shore for 4 days and was not nearly as pleased. Restraunts weren't as good and much more pricey. I would definetly stay again if visiting Hawaii.

We stayed in unit #204 the first week of April 2008. We had a great time. The unit had been remodeled and had a great view of the beach. Beach access was cumbersome, but we spent most of our time touring the island. This complex has a great central location on the island. The complex was clean and well kept. The exterior of the building was being painted during our visit, but it should be complete by now. We rented directly for the owner. Chuck was very friendly and accommodating. He processed our deposit refund promptly. My wife and I would definitely stay in #204 on our next visit to Kauai.

Had a terrific time on Kauai, and the condo is not only well-appointed and attractive, but centrally located on the island. Ocean sounds and view are terrific, and the pool was surprisingly pleasant, for what little time we spent there. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

We had a fantastic time in Kauai. I can't wait to go back.

Wailua Bay View 204 was amazing. It had everything we needed and more. It suited our needs perfectly. We actually got married while we were there, and my hairdresser and wedding coordinator actually came by to drop some things off, and took a look around. They thought the unit was very nice!

Thanks for everything. We'll definitely stay at Wailua Bayview 204 the next time we are in Kauai!

Kind regards,

Nancy

We recently had a chance to stay at Wailua Bayview #204, and it was great! It had all the amenities of home - in unit washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, flat screen tv and dvd player. The unit was recently renovated and is very modern and clean. The view was fantastic, and check in and out was a breeze. Chuck (the owner) was very pleasant to work with - we booked the unit through him directly. I would definitely go back and stay in unit #204.

The condo has been beautifully updated with a new kitchen and bathroom. Everything we needed--cooking utensils, towels, washer/dryer--was available. Would come back again.
