The Beach Villas at Kahalu'u is a brand new small complex directly across from Kahalu'u Beach Park. Located just steps away, Kahalu'u Beach Park is one of the nicer snorkeling spots on the Big Island. It is teeming with fish and offers more variety of sea life that any other easily accessible spot in Kona. A family of turtles calls Kahalu'u home, and they usually won't dart away from you if you don't harass them. Your odds of swimming with turtles are probably greater here than anywhere else on the island. To the left is a tide-pool in front of the Keauhou Beach Resort. The water there is sometimes as warm as bath water as it gets heated by the sun, a natural black-bottom pool. Cruise around in the shallows and look for eels. To the right of the bay enjoy some body boarding and surfing. When you are done, walk home across the street and enjoy the sunset from your private lanai.

Activities: In Kailua-Kona you will find shopping, historical landmarks and excellent restaurants. Snorkeling and Dive cruises leave from both Kailua Pier and Keahou for .Kealakekua Bay and other marine preserves and dive spots. From nearby Honokohau Harbor you can try your hand at deep sea fishing. Golf courses abound on the Kona/Kohala coast as well.
