The view and location were superb. The deck overlooks the ocean and the sunset view cannot be beat. We enjoyed relaxing in the sun and were truly impressed with how peaceful the location was. We only stayed for 3 days and each morning we sipped our coffee while watching dolphins play close to the shore. This condo is within walking distance to many shops/restaurants. We highly recommend the Sea Horse (we had breakfast there), Tequila Mockingbird (fresh/authentic Mexican food) and Sea Critters (fresh seafood! My husband said his blackened Chilean Bass was the best piece of fish he had ever eaten, while I enjoyed my lobster pasta). The change of pace and beautiful outdoor eating was exactly what we needed. The beach location was so impressive that we contemplated finding a condo to purchase ourselves!
For those who like to hit the slots or tables...we did make a trip to Tampa to visit the Hard Rock Casino (for my husband's birthday)! No big jackpots were won, but we did have a great time.
We stayed in the studio unit (#15). The unit was clean and quiet. The only "con" was that we did not know that the unit had only a murphy bed. We have not slept on a spring mattress for years, so it was an adjustment for us. This is the only reason why I gave the review 4 stars.
Pass a Grille beach is a great place to vacation and de-stress from your daily lives. We would like to make this an annual trip now.
Thanks for the great memories!

I arrived on Friday afternoon at 3, and was pleased to see that there was plenty of parking. The condo was immaculate and well stocked with everything you would need for time at the beach with an assortment of beach chairs ready to go. The view from that patio can not be beat. I parked my car on Friday and never had to use it again, this is the perfect location within walking distance to everything that Pass A Grille has to offer, you need only cross the street to get to the pristine white sandy beach. You can cook if you want since the kitchen is fully equipped, but being so close to restaurants , I didn't even bother. Paradise Sweets is located just below and is the perfect spot to get a Passacino ( a mix of espresso and homemade ice cream ).This was the perfect place for me I am already looking forward to a return trip. This was the first time that I have used the Home Away site, and Gail was the perfect owner to deal with. Make sure while you are there to get to the Hurricane for a perfectly fried grouper sandwich. This was a perfect week-end getaway for me & I will be recommending this spot to my friends and family.

On the Gulf-Fabulous view & beach-Great unit!!
Truly a wonderful week - the condo is better than pictured - the views are just amazing - watch from couch sipping coffee as dolphins play - waves & sun & especially the sunsets are amazing! The kitchen has just about all you could want or need during stay. The unit is clean and well furnished with new flat screen tv & cable package. Wifi worked perfectly, never an issue. Its so easy to pop outside the unit & hang out on the balcony on your own or visit with other guests and owners - everyone is so friendly. When you want to hang out on the beach - so easy to walk across the street to the Gulf beach. Walk to fishing on piers or kayaking steps away from front door. Walk in the other direction for boat rides, more fishing & other fun tours available. Shopping & great restaurants all steps away from the unit! Lots more within a short drive. Downtown St. Pete just minutes away by car & trolley hosts lots of local artists & shops - museums - Dali collection & a lot of fun is the Chihuly collection - to come home to such a lovely unit and sparkling Gulf beach view & beach after a day in the city is a treat! The owner is so thoughtful and considerate - Thank you Gail!

We stayed in the smaller unit #15 and found it to be very nicely furnished and equipped with everything we needed. The Murphy bed was as comfortable as a normal bed and we had enough room in the small unit to leave it down most of the time and still get around. The area is charming and great for swimming during the day and walking around in the evening. One of the best things about the condo is the veranda on the second floor and the great view of the stars over the Gulf at night.

The condo was wonderful! It was a little smaller than I thought but the views and the close proximity to the beach more than made up for it. The condo is literally less than 100 yards from the sand. I will definitely stay here again.

Being on the second floor, you have easy access to the semi-private veranda overlooking the beach and Gulf of Mexico.
Most everything we wanted to do besides relax, we walked to.
Hurricanes, (good food), 8th Street Fish House, (entertainment and drinks), both less than a block away.
We got along good with the Unit Owner and the Manager, and have plans leaning towards getting the same Unit next year, (2003).
We were warned about the quirky Gulf-View blinds ahead of time, but that wee problem has probably been fixed by now.
Enjoyed our stay. Area is less commercially developed than St. Pete Beach area, and we hope it can manage to stay that way.
