Property ReviewsWrite a Review
The sun is shining, the palm trees swaying, the pool is surrounded by luscious grounds and flowering shrubs and there's a million diamonds dancing out on the water on the bay...did I mention that all this is directly in front of me and I haven't even left the comfort of the privately screened patio? We've just returned from what I hope is just the first of many vacations to this gem on Isla del Sol on Boca Ciega Bay. This condo, its caretakers and owners are first rate...absolutely nothing has been overlooked. I vacationed in this area many years ago and was therefore really looking forward to this vacation and I was most certainly not disappointed. Isla is more beautiful than ever. This is the perfect, quiet place to relax and unwind...and we did! Thank you!
Just a few lines to say thanks for the use of your holiday home in
Florida. We’re now well and truly back down to earth, but still have great memories of hot, sunny days, your fabulous condo, which is very homely, comfortable and clean, sunsets on St Petes beach, and many hours spent fishin on the beach and off the very handy pier on site.
Many thanks for the smooth handling of the arrangement, even though you were going through a family wedding and moving out of your home at the same time (hope that’s all going ok!you still had time to answer all our questions!
Hopefully we’ll return, as there’s always unfinished business on the fishing front where Steves concerned! , but we’d certainly recommend you to friends and family.

Ginger Clegg said 'Mom is still talking about the beautiful condo we stayed in while we visited Florida. She took lots of pictures and is showing them off to family and friends.'
Ginger Clegg said 'Thanks for the use of your condo. We had a great time. The weather was beautiful - no rain. There were dolphins swimming right out back, which was exciting. I even got my Mom into the pool and hot tub one day.
Your place is beautiful and we tried to keep it clean.
Nancy Holt said 'Again, thank you so much for sharing your paradise with us. It was heavenly. School has started again and I keep thinking about our wonderful times at your condo.'
Nancy Holt said 'Hope all is well with you and your family. I'm sorry that we didn't keep in touch. I had good intentions, but the time has gone by so fast. I'm sorry that we didn't get to meet each other when you came. We'll have to try again. We have talked about you and your condo many times. What a great time we had!
Since we had such a fantastic time, we would like to stay at your place again this summer if it is available. It would be my birthday present again this year. What a gift!'
Amanda Mullis said 'I just wanted to e-mail you and let you and your husband know how wonderful of a time we had! Drew and I definitely miss Florida and the beautiful weather. I think what we enjoyed the most was having the pool right outside our door. We spent most of the time at the pool, but we did rent waverunners one day and went to the aquarium in Tampa and went to the Outlet Mall!
Thank you so much for such a smooth process! I also appreciate your speedy response.'
Joan DeFoor said 'We can certainly see why you love your Florida home! We enjoyed our week in it very much. A beautiful setting and very comfortable and pleasant! Thanks for sharing it with us.
We cared for it as if it were our own.'
Marylynn Fry said 'Sue, another beautiful day in Florida. We have really been having a great time. Discovered another great eating place. I am putting a menu on the bulletin board. It is called Caddy's and it is on Treasure Island - right on the beach. We ate lunch sitting at a table on the beach. Very nice to sit and watch people. Well I bought a new bathing suit yesterday and it is time to put it on and go to the pool. Thanks again for making your home available.'
To give you an idea of how beautiful this apartment and area is I thought I would share our 'typical' day with you on the website !
Wake up and watch the sunrise whilst watching dolphins swim in the bay followed by having a refreshing swim in the pool then having a fresh fruit breakfast on the veranda.
The days could be spent either shopping at the nearby Sarasota or Tampa shopping malls for very well priced goods or perhaps taking in a round of golf and a bit of fishing off the pier. Options for lunch are tremendous with so many deli's and restaurants, however our favourite has to be the deli about 5 mins walk from the condo. Good days out include visiting Fort Desoto National Park (5 mins drive), which is an amazing peninsula of beautiful beaches and coastline - taking BBQ equipment for lunch just off the beach in the pre-prepared BBQ areas. Or for a fun filled day visit Busch Gardens (about 20mins drive) for some amazing roller coasters and rides amongst beautiful grounds with some fantastic wildlife on show.
Late afternoon would usually be spent heading back to the condo and spending a couple of hours lazing by the pool or fishing on the pier before heading towards St Pete for dinner and a night out. The choice of evening meals is tremendous with restaurants such as Silas Dent and Philthy Phils. However our favourite has to be sitting on the veranda of Crabby Bills on the beach watching the sunset over the Gold Coast whilst eating the best seafood I have ever tasted whilst drinking an ice cold beer. Following this we have a few more beers, even a Guinness, in one of the local bars whilst listening to a bit of music then head home for a cooling off in the pool and a relaxing rest in the Jacuzzi before doing it all again the next day !!
We loved it so much we are going to try and head back to this apartment at least every couple of years. We are heading back this September (2003) for a couple of weeks and I'm counting the days till will go !
