Dear Barry. We were delighted with your Pelican Dock villa, which we felt to be very good value for money. It is very well geared for anyone interested in boating and enjoying the local waterways and wildlife! The 4 bathrooms were well appointed and adequate for our numbers. The description of the premises was accurate I would be happy to recommend it to friends. With the beaches only 12-15 miles away, we never had any problems keeping the kids happy. We found the pool alarm system to be a must for children's safety and our ‘peace of mind'. We were very delighted with our 4 weeks in your lovely vacation home. Hope to come again next year? This was our second time renting Barry's home in Cape Haze and we had a wonderful time once again. The home is beautiful, the pool and hot tub are a nice size and the lanai area is huge. Car Hire via Dollar Car Rental at discounted rates. 8 wonderful 'sugar sand' beaches within 20 minutes, with some of the best shelling on the whole Gulf Coast. 7 great local Golf Courses within 30 minutes, including a 24 hour floodlit course just 6 miles away, all welcome children over 8. From our Dock, the beautiful Gulf Cove nature reserve is just 5 minutes sailing time away, via which, Port Charlotte sound is 20 minutes, then out to the Gulf of Mexico. Great fresh and Salt water fishing, to be had in all areas, and local equipment hire is easy! Port Charlotte for all department stores is only 15 miles away. Publix supermarket and two Gas stations 4 miles from villa. In our villa manual are listed over 20 restaurants, but why not cook your 'catch of the day' on the villa BBQ?
