We have stayed at Carolyn Woods, Pelican Pass two times and each time it gets better! Carolyn provides everything you could possibly want or need. I love her place, it is so cozy and comfortable. The sunset at night on the patio are absolutely breath taking, the sound of the ocean roar while you rest your head on her lovely fluffy pillows, drifts you into a dream of paradise and enchanting themes. It is clean and your little ones have all they need to keep busy. I recommend this lovely cottage to anyone who wants a vacation that has everything! Thanks Carolyn

June 27-July 4, 2009 Love this wonderful beach cottage. Carolyn provides everything you could possibly imagine. Very clean and homey atmosphere. Loved every moment we were there. We all wished we could have stayed longer. The roses and welcome basket is a very thoughtful gesture. I cannot think of one thing negative to say about this beach cottage. We had a most memorable stay and will definitely return if at all possible. Thanks, Carolyn, for everything. Beverly Daniel, Silver Creek, Georgia

For the second year in a row, I stayed at Pelican Pass for a meeting in Ponte Vedra and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. This year, the padded lounge chairs were a GREAT addition. Also, it was nice having the wireless internet. (I don't remember it last year if it was there.) The best part is that it's private and not a crowded beach. I will definitely book this cottage again in 2010 to coincide with my meeting dates.

We had a wonderful week. We had everything we could possibly need. The kids loved the kayaks and all the sand toys. Thanks for sharing your home.

Best vaction cottage we've ever rented. Pictures don't do it justice; fabulous location, beautifully decorated, with everything you'll need. Children's room is great and so are all the toys.

My family of five, husband and three kids (ages 8, 11 and 16), stayed at Pelican Pass from December 27 to January 3, 2009. We had such a wonderful relaxing vacation at the cottage and would love to return again and again. The house is warm, clean, and cozy with the beach and ocean as the backyard. We especially like Pelican Pass' proximity to the Guana Preserve and St. Augustine. The welcome basket and beautiful flowers were great and much appreciated.

My husband and I needed to go to Jacksonville last month and were thrilled that we were able to stay again in Pelican Pass – this time for two weeks. We had also stayed there in November of 2008. I can’t stress enough how lovely and restful this three bedroom home is – with the Atlantic ocean outside your living room door. The home is equipped with everything you need - a fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washer and dryer, a television in every room, and towels, just to name a few essentials. It's great for either a romantic getaway or for a family vacation - great for kids. Pelican Pass is just a ten minute drive to St. Augustine, a lovely historic town, and about a 40 minute drive to Jacksonville, a relaxed drive for me with its picturesque roads. We love the comfortable homey feel of Pelican Pass and will without a doubt return again on our next trip to Jacksonville.

This feedback is for the person that's hesitant to rent this home. Because I was also! I worried (Is it clean),(Will we have enough beds),(what about the beach,is it clean and private),also with 10 family members for a week (will the house be large enough so i can have my own space). The answer is yes to all of above! The home was great! Live flowers on coffee table,a welcome basket on dining table, kitchen completely furnished just bring food. Bedrooms very nice and private, bathrooms very clean!!!! Also had Toys for all ages! Thanks for a great Vacation, Joseph and Dianne Vance, and Baker Family

We stayed at Pelican Pass in July. I have a family of 5 - a husband, 2 teenagers and a 10 year old. This cottage was PERFECT. From the moment we walked through the front door, we knew it. The first morning, after the first night's great sleep on the well appointed beds with opulent pillows, I was sitting on the patio watching a shrimp troller off in the distance. I thought, "I wish I could see that boat better." Suddenly, I noticed a set of binoculars just inside the back door. That's how I would describe this place. "I wish" and it's already there. My kids and husband wore themselves out playing with all the toys. We were never at a loss for something to do. I would highly recommend this cottage, although reluctantly. We plan on visiting it at least 2 or 3 times a year and if everyone else knows how great it is, it may not be available when we want it again.

I stayed here for a meeting instead of the more expensive Ponte Vedra Lodge & Club and ended up with a better place that was more private. It exceeded my expectations. I found it amusing that pelicans do continuously pass over the back deck. This place is perfect for a private uncrowded beach get-away.

This home was even better that we had imagined. Everything here was perfect. It was as if we had stepped into another time and left the chaotic modern-day world behind. I would recommend this house to anyone who needs a real "get away"

We stayed at this cottage in mid April, 2007. The cottage more than met our expectations. It was clean, beautifully decorated (including fresh flowers and a welcome basket), and had every imaginable beach toy available. It was convenient to both Ponte Vedra and St. Augustine. We absolutely loved staying at Pelican Pass Cottage and would recommend it to anyone!

We would recommend this cottage any day. Neat and cozy and right on the beach. Completely equipped with beach towels, chairs and beach umbrellas. Children's toys were a bonus. Very affordable and everything provided. Near St Augustine which we enjoyed immensely. The time we spent with our children and grand daughter will provide wonderful memories that will last a life time.

My wife and I stayed at the cottage from January 11 through January 18, 2007 and we both agree that Pelican Pass Cottage is a wonderful place to vacation, not only because it is on the ocean and a beautiful beach, but because it is close to St. Augustine and Jacksonville and all they have to offer. The cottage is near perfect in every way. It is neat and clean and stocked with anything a person living in a home could ask for. The weather was wonderful (a bit warmer than normal), and that allowed us to take full advantage of the beach and area. We would not hesitate to return to the cottage.

When I rented Pelican Pass Cottage, I had no idea how perfectly it would suit our needs. Along with my mother and four sisters, I rented the cottage for the week of Oct 4-10, 2006. Our younger brother, who lives in Jacksonville Beach, has cancer and ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease), so the circumstances of our visit were less than desirable. However, the cottage provided us the ideal location to relax, reconnect, share, and create wonderful memories. Because our brother has been so ill this past year, being at the cottage was a mini-vacation away from home for him and his family each day -- truly a blessing. The kitchen is beautifully appointed, which allowed us to prepare several meals for our days at the beach. And then for those days we wanted to dine out, the proximity to St. Augustine's provided us the chance to experience the wonderful seafood the area has to offer. Pelican Pass Cottage is inviting, cozy, comfortable and charming; the beachcombing was awesome; the sunrises/moonrises were spectacular! Thank you, Carolyn, for allowing us the opportunity to experience Florida in such comfort. Bernie, Kathy & Debbie, Lewiston, ID Marg, Moscow, ID Donna, Walla Walla, WA Doris, Covington, WA

What can two winter-weary Canadians say about Pelican Pass Cottage but what a wonderful and perfect place for a vacation! We visited from April 22 to 29, 2006. Everything you could ever need is included in the cottage, it was spotless and bright, the view of the ocean is awesome and being able to sit on the deck and watch it for hours is an amazing and restful holiday. The dolphins went by at 9:00 a.m. almost every morning and the pelicans are flying over it all the time. Thanks to Carolyn Woods for the opportunity to enjoy such a lovely experience and given the opportunity, we will return without hesitation.

The pictures don't do this great spot justice. The house is quite large, perfect for our group of 10. The beach really is spectacular, practically hidden from strangers and the waves are great. The added value comes with the kayaks! I was not far from shore on one when dolphins started playing around me. The whole experience was surreal. The view is in my top 5 ever; and I've been around the world. Thank you to Carolyn Woods for having us!
