This charming cottage on over 100 acres has glorious 50-mile views over the Hudson Valley. The surrounding area is beautiful and historic. Near the Massachusetts border, the cottage is close to the many wonderful attractions and towns in the Berkshires. (Tanglewood is 14 miles.) Autumn is wonderful at the cottage, with the surrounding forests in full fall color.

The cottage has one bedroom (queen bed), and one-and-half baths. There is also a detached bedroom/bathroom called The Summer Room, which is a few steps from the main house across a deck. There is a full kitchen, with microwave and a sofa sleeper in the living room.

There’s lots to see and do, with concerts, galleries, antiques, restaurants, museums and historic sites, live theatre, hiking, biking, tennis, golf, and horseback riding nearby. The cottage is ready to go -- just bring your suitcase. All linens, cookware and tableware are provided. There is a Vermont Castings woodstove (as well as forced air heat) and a washer and dryer.

The cottage is located in Columbia County in upstate New York, east of the Taconic Parkway. NYC is a little over two hours away and and Boston is less than three hours away.

The cottage rents for $700 per week until October 15th. We will be closed for the winter and begin rentals again in the spring of 2013.
