In Geography, the island of Key Largo is an exposed, fossilized remnant of a coral reef that was formed during a period of higher sea level and then uncovered and eroded during a subsequent ice age. The highest elevation is a slight ridge forming the spine of the island, which rises to as high as about 15 feet. The land slopes from the spine down to sea level on the ocean side and bay side.

| Deposit: $500 Deposit Tax: 12.5% Cleaning Fee: $75.00 Cancellations and Refunds: Cancellation Policy: Please read before making a reservation. We are not a large chain resort/hotel. We simply have a few cottages that are booked well in advance. Once we reserve a cottage for you we may have to turn away others that inquire for your same dates. We have adopted the below policies to be fair for both or guest and our facility. REFUNDS: Cancellation must be received on or before the 45th day before your check in date. All cancellations must be sent via e-mail or to our mailing address. Once we receive your cancellation, your deposit will be refunded within 60 days of the cancellation date less 5% cancellation fee. There will be no refunds for early departures or late check in as we will not be able to re-rent the cottage on such short notice. Past the deadline, the whole amount of your reservation will be withheld. If we re-rent the cottage for the dates canceled and we will do our best to call guest that we may have turned away, we will refund the days re-rent.
