This is a great house with large upstairs bedrooms and large bathrooms. The short walk to beach is on paved road or sidewalk and great area for bike riding. June 01, 2005Reviewer: beth joyner From: kingsport, tennesseeMy friends and I stayed at Oliver's house immediately following Hurricane Ivan. Our destination had originally been a condo on Perdido Key which pretty much washed away. Oliver Cruz was very hospitable and accomodating after such a disaster and promised his place had no damage. Other places in the area had extensive damage so we were thrilled that he allowed us to stay at his place on such short notice. When we arrived, there were absolutely no people on the beach. We found more shells than we thought humanly possible. We absolutely loved the porches both upstairs and downstairs. We talked our nights away on the top floor balcony where we watched the moon reflect on the ocean. We enjoyed our coffee each morning on the lower porch. There were 7 of us and we had more than enough room. We had everything we needed at our fingertips and if we had questions, Oliver was right next door! He also added special touches such as flowers in planters around the premises. And what an unexpected surprise to find Rosemary Beach literally right next door! After returning home, I found this beach neighborhood as a "must see" in Southern Living magazine! We enjoyed our visit so much that we had no need to go out and sight-see.
