We absolutely love staying at Sand Dollar Cottages. We stumbled upon this quaint and welcoming place to stay in 2002. We have spent many long weekends and a few weeks at a time there. These cottages feel like home with all the amenities. We have a fabulous time beach combing and visiting local shops and flea markets. We will be making reservation there again this fall and will write a new summary from our visit. Also, our little dogs love it too!!

I think the place is excellent. It has everything you need and it"s within walking of the beach.(3 minutes) I would highly recommend this place, the individual units are small but we rented all five houses and turned it into a compound. Very nicely maintained and taken care of. You wont be disappointed.

We stayed at Sand Dollar Cottages for the reunion mentioned previously. I agree that the place was immaculate. The bed is probably one of the most comfortable that I have slept on outside of my own. Plenty of towels and a laundry facility on site. They do not have central air but do have window air conditioners in all rooms. They seem to be old homes that have been renovated in some way (ie, new floors) recently. Plenty of dishes and kitchen utensils. Access to the beach is a one block walk. A comfortable place to stay.

Just got back from a family reunion at the Sand Dollar cottages. Had all the units rented, could not have worked out better. They are so clean, and everything you reached for in a drawer or cupboard was there. Even great laundry facility right there for your use. Beach just a short walk down the road. Beautiful sand and water colors. Even provide you with beach towels. You won't be disappointed. Enjoy!

Absolutely delightful place to stay! Our cottage was positively immaculate and extremely well equipped. The beach is beautiful and sunsets terrific. Within walking distance are some great restaurants. It's a friendly place to visit. Thanks to Sam and Sue.

My husband and I stayed in the Sand Dollar Cottage #1 for the month of February, 2003 and it was fabulous! I can't say enough about the property, the location and the owners (Margie and Sam) who were so gracious and accommodating. They accepted our beloved Labrador retriever, Gracie, as a guest and we all had a ball. The beach is so close and everything we needed was right in the cottage. Although we have traveled to other places since then, I still think that was my favorite place of all!

I spent three wonderful vacations (Christmas of 2003, 2004, and 2005) with Margie and Sam at their cottages on Englewood Beach. My little dog Josh and I were warmly greeted and the unit was filled with thoughtful homey touches, including dog treats. The units are clean and well kept and only a short walk to the beach. Josh and I look forward to our next visit.

Should you be fortunate enough in your life to chose the path that leads to Manasota Key, Englewood, Florida, and lucky enough to be a guest of Margie and Sam at the Sand Dollar Cottages, you will experience one of the most memorable times of your life. The cottages are neat and clean, as comfortable as an old pair of shoes, and quaint, making a smile wash across your face as images of childhood vacation homes are recalled. These little cottages give you the "warm and fuzzies"
My two cats, Ralph and Tuxie, and I were guest from October through December, 2003 and as we pulled away from the cottage to travel back "North", I had tears in my eyes and sand in my shoes and knew I would take the path back to Sand Dollar Cottages again one day soon.

My huband and I stayed at the Sand Dollar Cottages for a week last May and had a super visit. The unit was perfect, clean and plenty of room. A short walk to the beach. Hope to return.
