Well the home is lovely and very convenient to everything...Unfortunately when my stayed with my family this summer, we were in-between hurricanes and the owner advised us, after we had been there just three days of our ten day lease, that her home was not up to code for hurricanes and she was very afraid that the roof might blow off or worse and advised us to seek shelter inland or further north which we did at great additional expense to myself...When we were sure that the hurricane had passed through Palm Beach County, I phoned Ms.Andersen to see if everything was still intact and if it would be ok to return and was very surprised AND angry to find that her friend was staying at the house because she was without power and this home came through the stoem without a scratch! I assumed that I would receive my security deposit of $1,000 in about two or three weeks however I did not hear from her for almost two months and when I did, and deposited her check was outraged when it was returned for insufficient funds! I have been writing via US Mail as well as via e-mail and have not yet received a new check to replace the "rubber" one. I am a patient woman but I have been waiting now since September 9th for this refund and feel that is two months to long. Perhaps if you do rent you should make certain that she refund your deposit via cashiers check or a money order and specify the time frame for reimbursement....As I said the home itself is lovely and very comfortable but the other problems made this rental experience very unpleasant...Joanne...Moorestown, New Jersey...December 9, 2004
