Julio, our houseman, keeps our vast gardens, spacious pool and walled terraces in pristine condition. He owns a large van and can be hired to provide personal airport transfer service or to run errands such as going food shopping. All the mundane tasks can be taken care of.

Playa Cofresi is a charming seaside community with a beautiful wide sandy beach lined by Palm trees ands set in a cove protected by a reef so there are no worries about strong tides or undertows. A short 10 minute walk from the villa will take you to ocean World Dolphin Park, Marina & Casino. You can swim with dolphins, try your luck at the tables & slots, watch Las Vegas style shows, dance the night away at the disco or relax at the restaurant/ bar overlooking the ocean.
You can also sample the cuisine at numerous local restaurants, many within walking distance, others just a short taxi ride. You will find everything from Dominican specialties to Langostino, Lamb, Chateau Brianne and kid friendly tacos or hamburgers.

To secure a reservation, a deposit of 50% of the total rental is required. The balance is due one month prior to arrival.

Cancellations and Refunds:
Upon notification the owners will relist the villa for rental. Once the villa is rented for the same period of time, a refund will be made.
Villa Vista Del Mar is a comfortable family oriented home. The living room has a TV with selection of DVD's plus a stereo. The dorm has a PlayStation with assorted games. There is even a cozy card room for kids to play games or do puzzles.
All bedrooms are on the second floor and have indidvidual air conditioner units. All three oceanfront bedrooms have King beds and balcony or terrace access. The large dormitory with four twins and one bunk is so attractively furnished that even adults enjoy using it. The villa comfortably sleeps 16 and can accomodate up to 18. Quality mattresses assure a good night's rest. Beds can be moved around to suit guest's needs.
All doors and window are screened and shuttered to keep insects out. Ceiling fans throughout the villa circulate the refreshing ocean breezes.
The kitchen is completely modern and fully equipped with two refrigerators, microwave, automatic coffee makers, toaster, blender and household equipment. And don't forget... a very attentive maid!
The outdoor terraces, balconies and pool area provide privacy and room for everyone to spread out and have fun. There is also furniture for little ones; a crib, high chair, changing table, booster seat, guard rail, life jackets and a special gate to secure the dining porch from the pool area. This is a cherished family home designed for safety, comfort and enjoyment.
Puerto Plata is a wonderful destination for any size group because there is so much to see and do, and everything is so inexpensive. Babysitters for children cost about $30 for a full day! Wonderful meals at local restaurants start as low as $10 per entree.The Dominican version of 'Cheers' is just down the street at an oceanfront thatched-roof restaurant called Chris & Madys. There are pool tables and cable TV to keep all ages entertained.
You'll find the Dominicans are well-deserving of their reputation for friendliness and hospitality; they go out of their way to make you feel welcome in their country. It doesn't matter if you don't speak Spanish. Guests have always managed and enjoyed the experience of being exposed to the culture of this beautiful country and its people.

Playa Cofresi is a charming oceanside community that is now home to 'Ocean World', the Caribbean's newest interactive aquatic theme park where, among other things, you can swim with the dolphins,watch sea lion shows, walk through a bird aviary or snorkel in a massive salt water aquarium with exotic fish. Also included is a brand new casino with 5 star restaurant, Las Vegas style entertainment club house, and a marina...all this just a 10 minute walk from the house.
This is a wonderful destination for families with so much to see and do; everything from horseback rides into the mountains, jeep safaris to amazing waterfalls, catamaran snorkeling trips along the ocean, white water rafting, cable car rides up the mountain, go- cart racing for the kids, beachcombing, golfing and much more. A local tour director is readily available to help.
Cofresi's beach is crescent shaped, about 3/4 of a mile from point to point and lined with palm and sea grape trees. The surf is gentle and ideal for swimming. No worries about rip tides, undertow or strong currents. Just wonderful swimming!
