My wife and I fell in love with Steamboat back when our son was 2 years old and our daughter was 5. The programs for children were superb, and the snow is the best in the world as far as we are concerned. We purchased a 4 BR/3 BA condo named Promontory 15 in 1986, and then purchased the unit next door, Promontory 13, with another 4 BA and 3 BA in 1996. You can rent one unit or rent both units for a total of 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. Both units have new kitchens - new cabinets, new appliances, new granite counter tops. Both units have a good view of Yampa Valley from their balcony. The units are a super deal - half the cost of most 4 bedroom condos within a three minute walk to the Gondola. Call for details.

Our children are now grown, married, and we have 5 grandchildren who have all learned to ski at Steamboat. Family ski trips are super. Skiing is one of the few activities that an adult and a young child can enjoy together each doing the same thing and enjoying the experience for many of the same reasons. The kids also love the Steamboat ski school when we are not skiing all together.

Promontory is a three minute walk (350 steps) to the first gondola tower where we snap on skis and ski down to the gondola, or where we ski to at the end of the day to walk 3 minutes back to the condo. There is a great hot tub and a slightly cooler large pool for swimming all winter, and Promontory 13 has a private large sauna. All the bedrooms have queen size beds except Promontory 15 has one room with 4 bunk beds, and promontory 13 has one bedroom with two twin beds. We have spent a great deal of time and money to make the two units attractive and we hope you love them as much as we love them.

My wife and I are now mostly retired and we plan to be in Steamboat much of the winter. When our kids are not visiting we will be in a much smaller unit just across the parking lot from Promontory. We look forward to meeting you.
