Located on the beautiful California Coast just 81 miles north of Eureka, Crescent City California is "where the Redwoods meet the sea". Our Northern California Coastal Vacation Rental is a 1918 "Craftsman Style" Home which I restored in 2001-2002. Very nicely located just 1 block from Brother Jonathan Park (kid oriented) and 2 blocks from Brother Jonathan Point (with fantastic ocean and mountain views) and nearby beach access (3 blocks).

Our amenities include cable TV/VCR/stereo surround sound, local phone, BBQ (gas) and (brickette). Washer/dryer, iron & board, all linens and bedding, full kitchen. All dishes, pots and pans, microwave, bagel toaster, automatic coffee maker, etc.

The outdoor activities include a visit to Redwood National Park with miles and miles of hiking/walking trails through The Giant Coastal Redwood Trees and huge ferns along the banks of the beautiful Smith River.

River and Ocean fishing (rock cod, ling cod, halibut, salmon), river fishing (salmon, steelhead, native trout) hiking, camping, surfing.

The annual Gasquet Raft Races on the Smith River, The Lily Festival, The Azalea Festival,The Aleutian Goose Festival, Whale watching, Bird watching, protected wet lands, 100's of miles of forest and sea trails, The Sea Cruise Car Show.

Battery Point Lighthouse (circa 1851) and Point Saint George Lighthouse (the most expensive lighthouse ever built on the western US Coast) both historical wonders. Come visit us and enjoy the oldest Redwood trees on earth and the beautiful sunsets into the Pacific Ocean.

" The influence of the sea is omnipresent. Cool ocean mists nurture the giant redwoods. Rich offshore fishing grounds support a thriving commercial fishery. The rocky chasms and thrilling whitewater of the Smith River - California's largest wild river system - form the spectacular centerpiece of the 305,337 acre Smith River National Recreation Area. And throughout Del Norte County, diverse river- and sea-creature habitats support an incredible array of wildlife. Magnificent forest trails, sandy beaches, and river rafting are all close at hand. Yet for all its accessibility, Del Norte County is unspoiled and uncrowded - perhaps the most remarkable fact of all.

Our visit to Aon8th was very recent. We stayed there in late July 08'. The accomodations were perfect and had everything we needed. Aon8th is like a home away from home. While in Crescent City we explored:
Pebble Beach, Redwoods (Stout Grove A+), Smith River, Banning OR (Kite Festival), Harris Beach in OR, Gold Beach in OR, too many shops to recall, and many other fun activities. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Coke for a great place to stay during our visit.

We stayed at the house in late June, meeting up with our women's motorcycle club. The house was wonderful, it had everything that you could ever need. The house was immaculate and the furniture was comfortable. The club spent our time in the area riding the many wonderful roads, seeing Redwoods and lighthouses. Thanks for having us.

We stayed in July and had a wonderful time. Very close to Pebble Beach where I played as a kid. It made a great home base for exploring the redwoods and the Northern California/Southern Oregon coastline. Very nice house with a comfy couch on which to relax after a long day of hiking. Our kids enjoyed having their own room and being able to see the ocean from the upstairs window.

Homeowner Response: It was nice to have you and your family visit with us we look forrrward to your next trip...Richard & Becky Coke

First, our hosts, Richard and Becky, were very attentive to our needs and we appreciated that. Secondly, the house is really more of a home that is fully decorated with huge plants, pictures and special touches throughout. The living space was large enough for us to hold a family reunion for 18 people with seats for all. Thank you for a great location that we will remembers always.

Have loved Crescent City, Del Norte County since I first laid eyes on it when visiting my sister (The Slaters) way back in the 60s. Have returned several times since. The photographs I've been looking at here and there have been somewhat overwhelming. Battery Park Light House...oh my!

Thanks for the memories.

Homeowner Response: Thank You. Check back from time to time as I update and add more points of local interest. Regards....Richard
