This place is a sham!
Everyone be warned! This rental is a sham! The place is filthy, and falling apart. The pretty pictures in the ad are not current. The back patio roof caved in and the construction debris is piled up on half the deck. The other half of the deck has a lounge chair strapped across an opening of broken railing so that you wont fall off. And there are 2 giant wood beams on the deck floor. Becareful not to trip on them. The house is on the side of a mountain. Very steep! So you wont be doing any walking around on the 2 acre property. It is 2 acres of unusable land. My 2 dogs wouldnt even go walking on the steep terrain. They just kept looking over the side. The refridgerator was disgustingly dirty and the drinks we put in at 10pm were not cold by 6am the next morning. There is slime running down the walls in the kitchen. Dont put your loved ones upstairs, because the smoke detector has been ripped off the wall.( not safe). There were crumbs or dirt or wood chipps (couldnt tell) in one of the bunk beds sheets. Half of the lamps in the house dont work and a flloor lamp was proken at the base and just leaning against the wall. Dont plan on using the fire pits that he advertises because no fires allowed in the summer . There are 3 tv's but you cant watch them as advertised because the satelite system is down. And that goes for the internet too that was advertised as available. The hot tub cover was sunken into the hot tub. Stay away from the tree house it is falling down and a safety hazard for your kids. The cheap carpet throughout the house was filthy and stained horribly( i think it was even that indoor/outdoor cheap carpet). When we arrived, we were met with an unnegotiated later telling us if we didnt take our trash with us, we would owe them $10 per bag that we left. We asked many questions about the property and the services available, and we were flat out lied to. We were also told we didnt need 4-wheel drive now in the summer. Folks, you will be driving 4 1/2 mile of steep uneven, unmaintained dirt/ and gravely road. We had a min-van loaded with 4 people 2 dogs and our luggage and supplies. We bottomed out a couple of times and slid on the gravel a couple of times. We got to the cabin around 9:30 pm. We had to stay the night because it was so late. We tried calling Mr. Medal. Our Verizon phones didnt work as he had advertised. We had to relay a message to Mr. Medal telling him we were very unhappy and would be leaving in the morning. He called us as we were loading our things back into the car the next morning. He wanted us to wait around for him to send his maintenance and cleaning crew up the mountain to try and take care of all our problems. Yea, thats how we had planned to spend our weekend that we paid $737 for......waiting around for his maintenance crew! Hah! We left and asked for 2 of the 3 nights rental back. He said "No". DONT RENT THIS PLACE!!!!
