Vacation Rental Home Description
Fjell Blikk Hytte ("Mountain View Lodge") has 3 bedrooms and can accommodate 6 or more people. It is set on 7 forested acres with spectacular views of the Tanana River and the Alaska Range. The home feels secluded and remote, but is conveniently located just 10 minutes from the airport, major attractions and shopping. The main floor features a great room with a 22-foot vaulted ceiling, massive fireplace, 2 bedrooms, bath, and a modern kitchen. The master bedroom is on the 2nd floor and has a private bath and stunning views. All linens, towels and house-wares are provided.
If you need room for more people, the guest house (Knoll House) is adjacent to Fjell - it has 4 bedrooms, each witrh a private bath, and can accomdate 8 more people. Knoll House also has a living room, dining area for 10, modern kitchen and full laundry. It also has spectacular views, period furnishings, and the same amenities as the Lodge.

I’ve stayed in both houses at Fjell Blikk Hytte in Fairbanks, AK (there's the main log house called ‘Fjell’,and the guest house, called ‘Knoll)’ - I can say without hesitation that both are wonderful. In my opinion, they set the standard for all other vacation rentals in terms of architectural beauty, spectacular views, and lovely furnishings.
In addition they are immaculately kept, and well stocked for guests. They both lend themselves to entertaining large groups for parties or special events, but they also feel very cozy and private for more intimate occasions. And there are amazing things to look at in each house: wonderful antique quilts, 19th century rustic pottery, an 18th century English dresser, a vintage toaster collection, and much more. I loved these houses!
