With plenty of space for all guests, the living area features two full size sofas and two comfortable chairs, with views of the gulf (or a television with DVD, if you prefer). The living space also features a wet bar with ice maker, and a conversation area with game table for your enjoyment. There is a large dining table that seats twelve and fully equipped kitchen with two dishwashers and a double oven.
There are a total of six bedrooms to accommodate you in comfort. Two bedrooms feature king-size beds and a gulf view complete with a balcony. Two additional bedrooms are well-appointed with queen-size beds. Another bedroom includes two twin beds. There is even a bedroom with two sets of bunk beds (to allow four members of your group to "bunk" together).
Each bedroom has an adjoining bath and the home features two "family suites" (2 bedrooms connected by a bath). The second floor features a loft with TV, Xbox, and Desktop PC with DSL (High-Speed Internet). The loft will allow two additional guests to sleep on the double futon.
Your outdoor spaces begin with our screened porch. We have a picnic table and a round table to help you enjoy your dining, card playing, and socializing in comfort. The next frontier is a pool (shared with the other side of the duplex) that also includes a one foot wading pool for your small children. The pool is surrounded by a deck with several chaise lounges to help you bask in the sun.
The only thing that stands between between the pool and the gulf-front beach is our boardwalk. For your convenience, we have an outdoor shower between the boardwalk and the pool. Your family can easily roam between our home, the refreshing swimming pool, the beautiful white beaches, and the clear blue gulf water.
For those who need to stay connected while on vacation - DSL with PC and wi-fi and unlimited long distance (in the US for voice calls).

Just returned from spring break from Rest Area West and it was a great house with great accommodations. We had a total of 11 in out party with 6 kids ages 10-15. All of the kids really enjoyed the pool and the beach, and we have never seen them smile so much. The house was large and comfortable, and had great amenities that made the stay very pleasant. The kids are already asking about next year! As soon as I came home I missed the soothing sound of the waves in the gulf to fall asleep to every night. Great house and great owners to work with!

this house was very accomodating. Plenty of
room for all. The home is beautiful. The location
was perfect in a very quiet neighborhood. We felt
very safe, in fact, many mornings we woke up to
unlocked doors! I would recommend it to

Our stay at Rest Area West was great !! Having the pool on the deck w/ the ocean just steps away was perfect. We could set on the deck by the pool, and watch our kids play on the beach. We even found sand dollars in the surf. The house was great, The kitchen had everything you might need to cook whatever you might want. It was nice having a bathroom attached to each of the bedrooms. We loved the house, and the location.

This was absolutely the best vacation our family and friends have ever had. The house was absolutely beautiful. We loved having the pool and deck. We relaxed by the pool until late afternoon and then spent the rest of the day at the beach. We loved it so much that we are already planning on going back in 2011. The pictures just do not tell the complete story of Rest Area West. The high quality furnishings, wood floors, comfortable beds, and many more amenities make this a unique experience. Many members of my extended family were apprehensive about a rental property at the beach; however, we are now signed up for next year. I certainly can recommend this wonderful property that exceeded this family’s expectation.

We stayed at this beautiful beach house the week of June 24, 2006. It is exactly like the pictures we received from the web site. Their were four couples and 7 teenagers that stayed at various times and the house never felt crowded.

The beds were very comfortable, everything was extremely clean, and the beach was beautiful and uncrowded. The owner was very friendly and informative. We have just returned from a wonderful vacation in your home on Fort Morgan. The house is lovely and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful beach! Add to that a great swimming pool and a screened-in-porch and it was close to paradise!
As an added attraction, dolphins entertained us several afternoons, jumping and playing just a few yards off the beach. They were marvelous to see.
We can hardly wait until next summer when we hope to come back again.

My family, my parents, and sister's family was able to spend July 4th week
staying in this great beach house. The house was so big and decorated so beautifully. The children just loved the
pool and our 2 yr old claimed the baby
pool as his own. The screen porch was such a plus and great for relaxing. We
were so delighted with how uncrowded the
beaches were in Fort Morgan. We have gone anually to Gulf Shores for the last
15 years and this has been the most impressive property. Anyone that is lucky enough to stay here would definitely not be disappointed. We can't wait for another stay at the Rest
