Historical Property
Remnants of the old stagecoach road, part of which is a tree covered lane, can be seen at the bottom of the hill.
The old cowboy general store that provided goods for the travelers and cowboys was located along this route.
How did Show Low get its name? Two ranchers were betting their big ranches in a poker game. One rancher show'd low and this is how Show Low got its name. Rumor has it that the ole' saloon was located on this property.
The ancient Anasazi Indians roamed the valley. You will see large boulders with deep depressions. These depressions were made by Indians grinding corn or herbs, if one explores some more you will find a boulder with a petroglyph.
Owners, past and present, on their strolls around the property have found cowboy glass and rusty items such as old spurs, horseshoes, etc. Collections of these items can be found on top of boulders for all to see and add to.
