Century old Acadian Cottage in the heart of historic old Mandeville on the corner of Marigny Ave. and Jefferson St. 2 blocks from Lake Pontchartrain and Tammany trace which is a protected 32 mile trail open from Mandeville to Abita Springs for horses, bikes, runners and skaters. Within walking distance to a number of restaurants and antique shopping, lake front festivals, and is a very short drive to New Orleans.
A short drive to the gulf coast, scenic byways, swamp tours, antique shopping, festivals, trails, parks, birding, campgrounds, boating and fishing are nearby. There is also a wildlife refuge and vineyards to visit.
The house consists of three bedrooms, a kitchen, living room, and a dining-sitting area. All rooms are large and roomy. There are two baths. A large porch across the front of the house invites you to sit on the two swings and relax with a drink. The master bedroom has a king size bed and a private bath. The second bedroom has a double bed and a baby bed. There is also a stroller. The third bedroom has two double beds. There is a sofa in the living room to accommodate additional sleeping. The bacyard is extra large and is great for a bar-b-que and just plain bird watching. |
