On a secluded five acres of pristine rainforest beachfront in one of the most biologically diverse areas on earth, this handcrafted bamboo/hardwood vacation house lets you escape the hustle of civilization and safely and comfortably enjoy countless natural wonders. Located in the same vast, uninterrupted rainforest as nearby Corcovado National Park, Casa Bambu is located on the tip of the Osa Peninsula, where the rainforest meets the sea. Outside Magazine calls the Osa 'Costa Rica's great untamed peninsula,' and says: '…the old Costa Rica, a country of unspoiled rainforest, abundant wildlife, rustic facilities…does still exists…on the Pacific Coast's rugged Osa Peninsula.' National Geographic calls Corcovado one of 'the most biologically intense places on earth.'
After visiting our vacation home, Lonely Planet's Costa Rica (4th edition) recommends Casa Bambu as a place to stay (pp 460-461). Note: our e-mail address has changed since publication of this book.
Men's Journal, March 2003 issue, touts Casa Bambu as a destination in its vacation guide cover story “How to Rent a Dream House Anywhere: Your Own Private Resort.” It says: “For the jungle experience, visit the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica’s wild southern appendage. Its few paved roads lead to tiny fishing villages, like Cabo Matapalo, where you’ll find unspoiled beaches and houses like Casa Bambu on a plot of pristine rainforest teeming with monkeys.”
The Fine Living Channel recently featured Casa Bambu in its “Around the World in Eighty Houses,” a show which focused on unique and amazing houses throughout the world.
