Inside the certified healthy home, there is a master suite with a king size bed, 1 bedroom with a queen size bed, and 1 bedroom with bunk beds. Common space includes a living /dining area, a spacious kitchen, a private study with sleeper futon, and a family game room. Children of all ages will be amused playing with the ping pong table, full game table, board games, puzzles, and toys. The sun is the primary source of energy for the home, but automatically controlled back up systems ensure effortless year-round comfort and power. Experience sustainable paradise.
The home has easy access to the nearby renowned ski mountain Mount Bachelor, plus every other winter activity - cross-country skiing, sledding, tubing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. After a day of fun, take a relaxing soak in the hot tub.
Summer adventurers will be central to world-class trails and challenges including biking, hiking, fishing, rafting, kayaking, rock climbing, golfing, and more. For golfers, there are many challenging golf courses only minutes away.

The energy needs for this home are minimized by utilizing: solar energy and design, an efficient shell, and ultra efficient reliable back-up systems. Structurally integrated wall and roof panels were used to provide a more efficient and congruous thermal and sound barrier than conventional framing. Water is heated by a solar system supplemented by a 95% efficient electric heater. Natural lighting, compact fluorescent lights, and efficient appliances are utilized to further reduce energy needs. Finally, the home is powered by 3 kilowatt hours of photovoltaic panels with grid connection, assuring power 24 hours a day without added hassles!
Indoor air is filtered and controlled automatically by conventional thermostats. The cabinets and natural wood floors are made from sustainably harvested wood, while low fuming wheat straw board was used for shelving. Durable, environmentally-friendly wool carpet and natural linoleum cover the kitchen, baths, and bedrooms. The remaining floors are finished with decorative concrete. Low toxic paints and stains were used to improve indoor air quality and minimize the use of harmful chemicals.
The bathrooms feature Caroma dual flush toilets which surpass performance tests in the commode arena and reduce related water use 50% or more. Outside, attractive, native landscaping enhances the beauty of the home.
