If you don't mind driving 15 minutes to get to the middle of Asheville or downtown or 25 minutes to the Biltmore Estate or Blue Ridge Parkway, then Newfound Cottage is all you could want in a private, secluded, romantic, "all home-like amenities included" vacation rental.
Newfound Cottage can easily be described as the perverbial cottage in the mountains. Driving up a mountain road that dead-ends in a hollow. There, a picturesque cottage is surrounded by mountain wilderness. Just 8.7 miles from the Asheville City Limits and 5.7 miles off of I-40. In 15 minutes you're in the middle of Asheville and 20 minutes be downtown.
A covered front deck and gazebo with hot tub outside the back door extends the outdoor living area. You'll love sitting out on the front deck listening to all the sounds and looking at the mountain tops across the way. Inside, the cottage lives and feels much bigger than it's 750 sq. ft. afford. And the tidiness and cleanliness noteworthy. Central air- conditioning for hot summer months and a "woodstove-style" set of gas logs in the dining area for winter ambience. There is a fully equiped kitchen,dining area that seats 4 and kitchen bar/peninsula that seats 2. The living area idyllic for 2 or 4 guests with 2 loveseats and satelite TV, combo DVD/VCR/CD player, some DVD movies. The full bath is down the hall at the back door. A tongue and groove cathedral ceiling soars above you to the sleeping loft. There are not two fully-enclosed bedrooms, but adelightful partially open balcony-type upstairs sleeping loft. The staircase ascends to the middle of the upstairs loft creating two sides with 42" high walls partially enclosing each side separated by the 3' wide staricase. Each side has a queen-size bed, chest-of-drawers style bedside tables with lamps, ceiling fan and closet with blankets and coat hangers. Each side is identical.
Indoors or out, you'll think you've found a little piece of heaven. If you don't take the time to sit out on the front deck . . . well, you've actually missed what you came here for. Pictures simply don't do Newfound Cottage justice. A mountain vacation is unlike any other you'll ever experience. You won't believe this place until you get here!
