Delightful cottage at waters edge. 4 bedrooms sleeps 7. Great kayaking. Offers westerly views of surrounding islands. Our cottage is located on a quiet cove and named for the osprey that we enjoy watching as they soar above the cove looking for fish. It is 4 miles from Boothbay Harbor, a prime Maine vacation destination. The cottage is a fresh, quiet Maine getaway cottage, a dream vacation spot! Located at the end of a private road on beautiful Sawyers Island in Boothbay, Maine, it sits ten feet from the ocean with stunning westerly views of the surrounding islands and sunsets. This recently renovated 4 bedroom, 1.5 bath cottage is light and airy and offers lots of privacy. Unlike many Maine cottages it is fully equipped with many amenities including gas grill, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, VCR and CD player. It has a fully equipped eat in kitchen with ocean views. There is a lovely deck and nice lawn area for play. It has ocean views galore and is delightfully furnished. The large master bedroom has a queen size bed and lots of light. The cottage has a dock and float to make kayaking, looking at the seals or picnicking on the islands and water sports an easy pleasure. The dock is accessible by boat at quarter tide or above. For boaters there is a mooring with the cottage. For heat there is an airtight wood stove and Monitor furnace as well. Sorry, no smoking.

The Boothbay Region offers a wide variety of summer activities and diversions and is near (45 miles) great shopping in Freeport and LL Bean.. It is a destination vacation spot for those in the know looking for a quiet relaxing time.
