The Jackalope Lodge! This may be the retreat you have been looking for. Rustic log cabin situated on an oxbow of the deschutes river only 10 minutes south of Sunriver on 1/2 acre provides a relaxing atmosphere with easy access to Sunriver, skiing, fishing, golf and hiking to keep you busy. Your kids will love living in a log cabin (and fascinated with the authentic jackalope mascot).
It is rustic but we have provided all the creature comforts of home .... hot tub, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, fully equipped kitchen, DVD/VCR, gas BBQ. For more physical people, there are two canoes and four bicycles (even a pink one for the little girl. Take the canoes 10 minutes by road upstream, drop them off and spend the next 2-3 hours on the winding Deschutes River fishing or just relaxing and taking in the views on your way back down to our private dock at the Jackalope Lodge. Or just go up the oxbow, down the river and back up the oxbow to the Lodge. Don't forget to catch a few fish on the way.
Games and DVD/VCDs are available in the house for your use. Or just spend time sitting in the hot tub watching the stars and the abundant wildlife. The backyard is a lush, mowed yard up to the water shaded with pine trees ... perfect for enjoying meals outdoors or just sitting in the morning with your cup of coffee.
The house has four queen beds. One in each of the two bedrooms downstairs and two in the L-shaped loft area, separated into separate sleeping arrangements. The loft also has additional sleeping arrangements for four more people. Comforters on all beds add to the ambiance and warmth of the cabin. In addition to the downstairs living room, there is another living area in the loft.
Well behaved pets are allowed at an additional cost and deposit. Please discuss before bringing pets so we can discuss wildlife and neighborhood etiquette with you.
