Pictures will not do justice to this beautiful open airy house just steps away from a beautiful white sandy Atlantic Ocean beach in a gated community on a private, residential island. May and June and September and October are just glorious there.
The house has an elevator from the parking level to the first floor. Great for bringing babies, luggage, groceries, etc. up to the main level. Also great for people who have difficulty with stairs.
The rooms are large and nicely furnished. The living room has a fireplace and a beautiful oak spiral staircase leading up to the loft. The loft has a panoramic view of the ocean. There is a double bed sized futon in the loft, and a half bath.
The kitchen is large and open and is stocked with a large assortment of dinnerware, pots, pans, and utensils. There is a full sized microwave oven and a dishwasher. Outside the kitchen is a "four-season" room where you can dine alfresco without some of the annoyances of eating outdoors. There is also a dining room for eating indoors. The bedroom is a large room with a very large walk-in closet. The den is a smaller room with a queen size sleeper sofa. The bathroom tub has a jacuzzi and steamer in it. The ocean is visible from all rooms except the den.
There is a community pool, tennis courts and workout rooms that are open to all residents and their guests. It was totally renovated this year. The club is also just steps from the house.
The island is home to many, many types of plants and animals, both land and sea. You can watch dolphins playing nearby in the ocean or watch alligators sunning themselves on the banks of the lagoons.
The island is wonderfully situated for visiting such places as Savannah, GA, Charleston, SC, Hilton Head, SC or the Marine Corp base at Parris Island.
