Description
|
"Couples Only" Log Post & Beam Cabin in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Available December 2008. Taking reservations now. This couple’s hideaway is tucked in behind the main house with the front door opening onto US Forest Service land. Total privacy and beautiful scenery. Because of the large windows in the living room & kitchen area you will feel as if you were outside - even when you are inside. Watching the antics of the chipmunks is lighthearted entertainment. Deer on the hillside and in the backyard are a common sight. In the spring of the year, the fawns and their mama’s are simply adorable.
This cabin was the “home show display model” for a local log home builder thus everything is top of the line – cozy and comfortable. The large side-by-side refrigerator/freezer will accommodate food for as long as you choose to stay. You will have a fully equipped kitchen with dishes, pots & pans, coffeemaker, microwave, crock-pot, toaster, blender, dishwasher & hot plate (due to a technicality in the County regulations - a range in not allowed - go figure???) and a gas BBQ grill right outside your front door.
All linens and towels are provided. Comfortable queen size bed with flannel sheets. The bathroom has a large shower with LOTS of hot water. This will be your retreat after a busy day of sightseeing in the hills. Ideal location just a mile from Hill City, SD which is "The Heart of the Hills" Just turn off of Hwy 16/385 onto Village Court into the Storm Mountain Cottages continue across Spring Creek to the private property behind. This is where you will find your Black Hills’ nest AND life is good!
During season the rate is $119.00 per night; stay six consecutive nights and the seventh night is FREE. Season is Memorial Day through Labor Day. Off Season rate is $89.00 per night. We do charge a $50.00 cleaning fee per stay. You can be assured of a absolutely clean home when you arrive. Your reservation deposit is ½ of your stay with the balance due upon arrival. There is a required rental agreement with a security deposit of $200.00 secured with a major credit card. If cabin is left in the same condition as when you arrive, the damage deposit will not be charged. If warranted due to damage or extra cleaning an itemized statement will be mailed to you along with the credit card charge for the repairs.
