New for the 2008 Season!
We are happy to share our 2nd home with families, married couples, or single adults 25 years or older. Enjoy the quiet of the Arcadian Shores area in this marvelous 2nd floor beach condo "flat" beginning June 28, 2008. Watch the ducks, herons, and egrets visit the 7 acre lake from the comfort of your easy chair. It is one of the things I like most about it. It sort of makes up for not having an ocean view. There is bird activity all year 'round, so bring your binoculars.
Sea Gate Villas is located in the quiet residential/resort neighborhood of Arcadian Shores. While there are high-rise resorts on the beach, this condo looks towards the long established residential neighborhood. The Grand Strand is just a short 500' walk from the condo, without having to cross the road. There is parking at the end of the private road if you care to drive. Traffic is light in this area, which adds to the enjoyment of the neighborhood. Walks around the lake, on the beach, or through the shady neighborhood give you an opportunity to enjoy the variety of the area.
The restaurants, shopping, attractions, and golf... for which Myrtle Beach is famous... are a short drive away. Easy access to Highway 17 will get you where you want to be in minutes. We are right off of "Restaurant Row," close to Tanger Outlets, Colonial Mall, Barefoot Landing, Carolina Opry & the Dixie Stampede. But the best part is that you can mostly get or do most everything without going out onto Highway 17 (well…maybe just a little)…Find groceries, fine dining, casual dining, fast food, beach gear, karaoke, international cuisine…Chinese, Irish, Japanese, Italian, dancing, Wal Mart, Golden Corral, Bojangles, McAlister’s Deli, Cold Stone Creamery, outlet shopping, golf...the list goes on...including a recycling center, without sitting in traffic.
During low tide, you will see where the "Grand Strand" got her name. The beach is wide and flat, giving everyone plenty of room to relax and play. The sand is fine and just perfect for sand castles. Lifeguards are on duty during the summer. The Apache Pier, which is the longest pier on the East Coast, is a short walk away. Walking to the end and looking back on the beach is quite an experience. The campground, which is adjacent to this area, offers a non-denominational Sunday morning worship service that many in the Arcadian Shores area walk to along the beach.
The condominium has the feel of a home and not of a beach rental. It is where my family enjoys a rest from the fast pace of work and school. It has been decorated to our tastes and includes some vintage Myrtle Beach souvenirs. Each bedroom has a sliding glass door - one to the walkway entrance, the other to a small balcony overlooking the pool.
We have a big TV (not sure how we got it up there) in the family area, cable TV and HBO, and a small TV in the twin bedroom. DVD player and BOSE Wave AM/FM radio are available for your use. CDs can be played on the DVD player. Telephone has an answering machine.
We have one queen bed, and 2 twins. A twin air mattress is available, and the sofa is long enough for someone to sleep on, but it is not a sleeper-sofa Six is the ABSOLUTE maximum number of people that the condo can comfortably hold, adults or children of any age.

All rentals are handled through a rental agency. That information will be provided when you call. Bed linens, towels, and kitchen linens are not provided. Cleaning service at the end of your stay is provided by the rental agency and is required by the agency as part of your rental agreement.
